Quote from: 'trout' pid='98940' dateline='1475018278'Use your common sense, The easiest and most cost efficient way to source the large numbers of coins needed for the rolls would be directly from RAM :ok:

Yeah... and?

These rolls are a drop in the ocean of what the RAM produces. So are the baggies. You can't blame outside forces for the people at the mint not being able to organise a pissup in a brewery I'm afraid.

Think about it....

They have bagging machines churning out pallet loads of coins all day every day. They load up ONE machine with different film, set how many coins to put in, and let 'er rip. Not exactly rocket science. They could easily produce enough bags to flood the country, but they choose not to. And they also choose this idiotic one bag limit and postage bullshit.

Sorry, but the blame lies entirely with the mint, noone else.

I just got off the phone to RAM and my order for the Parra carded coins wont be sent until 24th October and the baggies I ordered have a 6 week turnaround from the order date :(
I ordered the Parra coins in the early hours on the morning that they were made available.:dodgy:

That was put in place to stop people taking advantage of the offer But that flew out of the window when the $2 coin was made available and the entire set of baggies could be ordered for the one $10 postage charge and the allocation "disappeared" in less than 24hrs :ok:

To be fair to RAM there is No way that they could have foreseen the sheer size of some of the orders placed by some of its clients and have been playing "Catch Up" ever since.

Usually my orders from RAM are sent in 7-14 days

Quote from: 'Nevol' pid='98934' dateline='1475016855'I rec'd my notification yesterday that my RAM order (from 5 Sep) has been dispatched. Better late than never. :yahoo:

Which coins did you order Nancy??

Bullshit.

They know how much they sell, and what the demand is. 100,000 mint sets, more or less, every year, right? So that's a minimum production target. And with a one bag limit, that's 100,000 orders, which is impossible to place in the day or so before they shut it down.

I would think that any computer operator/programmer worth his salt could achieve that in quite short order.
I myself ordered 4 sets of the baggies in a couple of minutes and my computer skills are pretty "ordinary" :ok:

Get Real yourself mate, Nobody is saying someone bought the entire allocation.
A good part of that allocation would have been distributed via the changeover tour.

This would take 5000 orders from RAM to produce alone :ok:

Huh? What does that have to do with anything? You're not seriously suggesting they came out of the baggies? These would have come through Armaguard in the normal course of events, just like every dealer has been getting supplies since like forever. Der....

Why Not, the Olympic coins they sourced from ram did the job :dodgy:
If they came in rolls from armguard why re roll them??

They came in bags from Armaguard. Same as the sack of 2016 20ยข I have here on the floor next to me. Sadly, they're standard designs, but they could just as easily have been the commemoratives.

RAM still haven't sent me my $50 vouchers yet.
When I finally get them there will be nothing worthwhile or available at the RAM shop anyway :dash1:
I should have asked about them when I was on the phone to them the other day but I forgot to

Just got notification that the order I placed last has been posted first, which I think is a bit odd

I noticed the $2's return the other day, It's a bit weird that the $1 coins came back as well but ran out pretty much immediately .

I just got an email from RAM in regard to my order I placed on 23/8/16 for the Parra carded coins.
Quotewe have been experiencing some delays with dispatch.

It takes them over 5 weeks to realise that my order is going to be delayed and tell me so :dash1:
So much for their 10-14 days delivery time they quote on their web site :dodgy:
