Been a while since I had a noodle so I thought it was time to get in there again.

Picked up a 2010 rotated 50c (still in pretty good nick and probably the best I have), a 2016 changeover $1, a 1984 spew roo and a 1997 Kingsford Smith C mintmark $1 - the latter two unfortunately have been around the world and then some. :yahoo:

Here are a few other newbies:

1999 $1 strike through (either that or someone forgot to apply the full date)

2014 ANZAC $1 - either somebody has been torturing the Queen or she is going for the Hannibal Lechter look.

Also on the same coin:

2016 50c - loop at the bottom of the Queen's bust. Don't know what to make of this one - whether it has been struck through wire or something or just PMD.

Great stuff Pedro!!!! :good: Gee it's been a long time since I've found a 2010 rotated. Similarly to yourself I haven't done much noodling of late. (Money can buy time and time can make money ..... and when you've got neither, you're just about buggered).

Me too.

Well done.

I did a $100 bag of 20¢ coins this morning and picked up four different Centenary of Federation and four Bradmans. That is a better than usual strike rate.
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

Gee that is good for a $100 bag Jeff!!

Pedro

Nice work Jeff!

Of course, when I did the same amount last night the 'haul' was one CoF, one UN Anniversary and an EF 1981.

Is the straight line inboard and between the 1 and 9 just my imagination, or something that shouldn't be there? Love the Hannibal Liz look Pedro ;)
As we age we lose three things, one is our memory and arrrrr I've forgotten the other two!

Pedro

There are some scratches otherwise nothing else I can see AC.

Excellent discoveries! Both of these would really make my day if I were to find them up here. Does anyone know what the frequency of the 2010 rotated 50c is outside of NSW? I'd love to know what my odds are of finding one. :)

Goldseeker

I have found a total of nine rotated 2010 $0.50 pieces in my time.   Total $0.50 noddled is 528,670 coins since 12 Dec 2012 to date.

I only have four left in my collection.

No wonder I haven't found one yet! I've only done 8199 so far, which is about 1/64 as many as you, or 1.55%. Do you noodle all denominations, or only some of them?

Goldseeker

I haven't noodled any coins since December 2016 as I really hate searching/noodling rolled coin.

I have noodled $2, $1, $0.50 and $0.20 coins in my time.

I do look at every coin that comes into my hands though.

I'm in Victoria. For the same timeframe as Goldseeker (i.e. December 2012) I have searched through 325960 50c coins and found 6 x rotated 2010 50c coins. The strike rate this year has been much higher I have found 3 in 67780 coins.

I also search through all other denominations. I like silver coloured coins more and spend more on them (also get more coins to search for less money).

Pedro

Latest variant on a 2015 $1 MOR.
