ha ha AC
you are a treasure

I must admit that I thought accums comment was a tongue in cheek one (i.e. LOL)
and I nearly posted something about us pre-dec collectors not quite getting the decimal stuff at times.

anyways obviously a bit more to it in the long run

What I would like to know is how many rolls are out there? I can account for 50 at least based on eBay sales/forum post etc
Any chance of this being recognised by McDonalds in the 2015 guide

later on if demand picks up

If it appears in the RAM report it'll likely appear in Maccas.  PPH will include it in her (better) list of of dollar mintages once she has some concrete information on the mintage.

yes I understand that the mintage of the whole lot of 2014 MOR $1 will be included in the ram report but what I want to know is the mintage of the rolls handed out.
that is thee key point, if we can get that recognised it will give them long term potential rather than just be a quick flippers dream

I sent an email to the RAM and got the following reply/response:

QUOTE

The Royal Australian Mint did roll these coins in-house and made them available to attendees on the basis that they would be able to pay and take them upon participation in the forums.

The Contact Centre staff said you also rang to ask how many rolled coins were produced. The Royal Australian Mint prepared a sufficient amount to meet the forecasted demand. The final amount can't be disclosed as this number may vary depending on final demand.

I think that this response answers most of the questions.

"The final amount can't be disclosed as this number may vary depending on final demand"
so does that mean more will be released?

You should probably prepare yourself for that, yes.

Good work Bruce.  I don't advise buying these at high prices because if dealers sense there's a dollar to be made out of these the RAM will make more to meet their orders and the "limited" nature of the release is quite likely to become much less limited.

When people want stuff from other states they ask for anybody from the state to help them,i asked & got told " no way"
so tell me how you would feel if you done favours for a lot of people on here & then when you asked for help with something you get told "no way",answer me that hey.

Yep ya got that right and that is pretty spot on Accu and makes one feel really good about them self and what part of the trouble is ATM and I can see it's been putting others off as well just looking at the lack of posts as I don't come on much any more due to this as well but hope it goes back to normal soon!

I think your right Mark and they will make more if the market wants them, and even if it doesn't :winkextra:

My wife suggested that I keep a hard copy of the emails and I have done just that.

I wonder if Greg MacDonald wants this information for his next Pocket catalogue.
