No way!

The only thing that makes them special is the fact they're in rolls. Loose ones will be around a-plenty later in the year.

yes I would wait a little while, they will pop up on ebay soon enough from security rolls. the paper wrapping these "ram" rolls will be worth more than the coins.
on that note can anyone suggest a good storage method for these rolls?

eBay is "Alive " with these coins and rolls, Looks like the feeding frenzy is well underway

Ziplock polyethylene food grade bags would be good.

I wrap my rolls in the archival material cellophane bags - crunchy but does the job nicely

I'm not so sure there will be any others. Given that the RAM has made 23m of the 2014 ANZAC coins, how likely is it that there'll be any more 2014 $1 MOR coins? I reckon it's pretty unlikely, but that's just my opinion.

Heat seal them into bank bags. I will be talking about this very topic at MNS in a couple weeks, and might take some piccies documenting exactly how I do them. Here's the pics I previously posted of the homebrew $2 rolls... http://fulvio.jovianprojects.com.au/coins/130815.RollSealing640/

I was hoping for a solid storage solution like a plastic, acid/pvc free case if some sort.
I truly believe these will be the "1992 Olympic women in sport" item of 2014. worth more because of the case it is in, in this case mint roll

The enemy is air. As long as you eliminate it, and do it with a non-reactive material, that's all that matters, really.

Just wondering how many were rolled, and will the majority go into circulation.? UNC Roos may hold their value. Anyhow, I took the bait and paid $10 for one, just to sure to be sure:dodgy:

Quote from: 'Australian coin' pid='53607' dateline='1403935910'there wasn't many rolls made, a few hundred, between Melbourne and Sydney.
number are unknown, someone said 200 rolls, and then heard 500
but there is expected to be 1 million in general circulation
knowing armguard they will hold onto them for a while before releasing them

these rolls were made just for dealers, to get on the good side after not getting a allocation of any Victoria cross ballot coins to them

they mint are not expected to go back into rolling coins again this was a one time thing
These are not RAM rolled coins
