trout

QuoteDownies have them for sale in their latest "online dogalogue" if people are interested.

Not for Me mate, Kimmy sent me a rather nice coin that I recon will grade MS64/65 and I am more than happy with that.
Besides it was an unsolicited gift from a friend and when it comes back from PCGS I will put a wee sticker on it to say where I got it from :yahoo:
As all my Dollar coins range from Ch Unc- Gem, an MS 64/65 is a real contender for my collection and I have NO use for 20 of the buggers

Go to 1920 pennies and you are both tiny specks.
This contest reminds me of when I was little and we all tried to pee as high up the tin fence as possible.

You can't hide 200 rolls (4000 coins) in the house forever. You need to rent a store room like the scene from Breaking Bad.

:laugh2:

robbiegal

yes you can
under the bed - neatly stacked in boxes / containers
in the back of the clothes cupboard - the deeper part that never gets used
behind the linen in the linen cupboard

I have a small neat roller doored book case - it is amazing how much can be stored in these - I have an ex government metal lock up one - looks nice enough and holds a heck of a lot of my junk
takes 2 men to bust it open if you have to ... when you lost the key ...

at the bottom of the kids laundry basket - if it's a teenager boy - they are safely hidden for oh, about 7 years
door stops - that would also work

ermm... where else?
not in the garage - careful there they often don't store well for long

actually Robbiegal is right.
coins rolls store real neatly in small spaces.
I have over 500 rolls hidden in the bedroom next to the hundreds of proof and mint sets.
its the granny bait silver dollar/1oz coins/masterpiece sets etc that take the most room per item

truly trout i would love to see your collection but I would advise against the photographing of huge quantities of silver and uploading of said silver pictures

I couldn't find any stores that have them in stock for $35, cheapest I could find was $45. Knowing that rolled coin typically has a 2x face value premium I consider getting these rolls at "face value" is worth a shot that in years to come they "may" be worth a tidy sum???

Would rolls with the red mint wrapper command more than the armagaurd rolls we will eventually see???

Did you try VP Coins, I was in there Saturday. I'm sure Goldseeker mentioned they were $35 at Downies in one of his posts.
As we age we lose three things, one is our memory and arrrrr I've forgotten the other two!

I just bought another 10 from VP at $35 a roll, that gives me 15 rolls. I'd better leave the house and go play golf or I will buy more.

I just looked up VP coins & the location
my first primary school was at Mt Gravatt
my great uncle owned most of the now Upper Mt Gravatt heights land &  sold it after the war for a considerable profit (according to family folklore)
another uncle's Mt Gravatt home remains in the family
haven't been there for years now
hum memories .....

where's runway ... off topic ... nothing about making a fortune from 2014 MOR rolls!! ha ha

If these rolls were done inhouse by RAM they would have had wrappers confirming the reason for the release!

Speak to three different people at RAM and you will get three different answers, even in writing!

I do not believe they have been wrapped inhouse as a conversation I had with the CEO Mc Diarmid recently he confirmed that the RAM no longer wraps inhouse due to quality control issues.
Mainly severe scratches on first and last coins in roll. The reason they were selling Girl Guide and other rolls at $30 was to allow for additional costs for external wrapping.

These are the same wrappers used in 2010 and 2011 $1 rolls wrapped by SecuriCor? Which I believe is a subsidiary of Toll.

RAM should have released these rolls in RAM wrappers but being stingy they have reduced their costs!

Lets see what happens when Abbot sellls the RAM!! Will probably be bought by Downies!  LOL!

*shrug* two or three different people have asked the RAM different ways and got the same answer.  The RAM rolled them in-house.  It's even shown publicly on their Facebook page for everyone to see.  Does it really matter anyway?  I would have thought a bigger issue with people hoarding this is that they seem to be available now for about a third of the price they were getting eBay just a week ago.

those RAM identified paper rolls were total crap and fell apart in transit & normal handling
they were real quality control shockers
that is most likely why the mint ditched that supplier
