:laugh2: good call.
Can I have some please

Yeah,i'm confused as well, can i buy these with Bit Coins ? ..and.. can i get the complete un-opened roll slabbed,i should be able to double its value overnite.

On a serious note,i don't think the Olympic Coins will be worth anything above face in the future once the novelty and feeding frenzy dies down.People are already spending them, local TAB owner has removed bag fulls from change over the last Week or so.

The story is, the rolls are being done by a big name supplier who he can't name yet, but whose name WILL be on the rolls. They bought the equipment to roll these up, and are trying to recover the cost obviously. We both agreed the price is too steep in our opinions, but the customers seem to disagree, and they're selling like hotcakes

You are promoting this Fulvio while claiming to be an objective bystander
I am afraid that if you can't dazzle them with brilliance
you can at least try to baffle them with bull mate
and at this moment in time I reckon you are bloody well full of it

Basil you will be pleasantly shocked when you arrive in the future and see these 2016 Olympic coins selling for $10+ each as a minimum.

Search 2016 Olympic coins of the world and you will not find anything as collectable/beautiful  as the coins issued by RAMINT.

And because these coins have been difficult to acquire their value will increase dramatically!

Nowhere else on this planet will you find coins such as these depicting the five Olympic rings.

RAMINT has had a major coup here, perhaps even greater than the 2013 Coronation $2 coin.

Time will tell.

Fulvio

Quote from: 'robbiegal' pid='95644' dateline='1472172564'I do have issue Fulvio actively going out of his way with the promotion

I've done no such thing!

See? I can use big letters too. :P

I asked questions. Questions which YOU could have rung up and asked yourself. I reported the answers. I got flamed. I explained why the answers made sense to me. And I'm still having to defend myself.

This is NOT cool! :P

I call 'em as I see 'em. If somebody else working off the same information comes to a different conclusion, that's fine. We're all different. But when I get attacked by people who do NOT have the information first hand and have made no attempt to get it, well, that gets right up my nose.

Again, I don't have a horse in this race. I have bought some product, in the form of mint cards and mint bags, and I think I got looked after rather well, both price-wise and delivery arrangements. I will be meeting up at ANDA tomorrow, since I'm working there, and I will try and get more information about the manufacturer. If I can't get that, that's fine, because unlike people who've never been in the commercial world, I understand concepts like embargoes and non-disclosure agreements. When the actual products are available, they will have the name on them anyway, so I really don't care. Not like I'm going to be buying any after all. And neither are any of you lot. So why the angst?

Quote from: 'Basil' pid='95654' dateline='1472176187'On a serious note,i don't think the Olympic Coins will be worth anything above face

Yes and no. They're not going to be Coronations or Poppies, but they're not going to be standards either. I'd put the long term value at maybe double face, assuming UNC condition.

And yes, the hype will die, like it always does. But something new will come along to take its place.

Oh, and just to get back o topic for a sec, my spies tell me that there will be bags of all colours in the tills on Monday till they run out. Apparently the stingier stores are still sitting on stuff they didn't hand out before the new week started, and they've ben told to get rid of them.

Hopefully I'll get a couple of bags to plug gaps. :)

Fulvio there is no embargo/non-disclosure agreement  on these rolls.

Contact Michael Cotton of Cotton and Co and he will happily confirm what you are trying so hard to conceal!

Showing your true colours here mate!

FOR NEVOL

Nancy I also have a direct communication path with the HEAd of Promotions at Woolworths Karen Madeen.

I would also like her to read some of Fulvio's claims especially his post #497.

Please advise.

robbiegal

i was told today by a local woolies staff member (just about an hour ago) that the the store had a heap of the bags to give out the coins this week

one front end staff member 'bought' the boxed lot so the customers won't be seeing a single coin

i said to him, i guess I will have to buy them on ebay if i want some
he said - think so

Why does this not surprise me at all?

I actually expected much more of it, TBH. But other than the sacks that were put on ebay early, and now this, there's been little evidence of it happening.

Should suss FB and see who's selling these "rolls" and the same a bulk slabs as there's more doing it now :dash1:
I haven't been on for a few days but maybe I should look a bit more often to keep up with all the local goss and see who's doing what , a lot of suss things going on everywhere and I can't see any of this helping coin collecting and if anything it will be bad in the long run when people work out they're being ripped off, very sad :(

These rolls are being produced my Michael Cotton of 20,000 slabs fame and are being marketed through various sellers/dealers.
From what I know they are in a black paper roll with Cottons insignia on it with some holographic sticker.
They are NOT a RAM product and the ads have now been "Vetted" so as not to associate these with RAM, The earlier ads by certain sellers DID suggest that these were RAM items But not anymore.
The story is that these coins were sourced via buying the 5 coin sets and the carded parra coins from RAM, If this is true or not we will never know.

As far as I am aware Fulvio has absolutely NOTHING to do with the production or marketing of these Third party horrors, All he did was to let us know what the state of play was regarding these rolls as he knew it at the time.
NO point in shooting the messenger :ok:

While I am on this subject.
I find the use of the RAM images in the listings/ads for these third party rolls is highly suggestive/deceptive that they are indeed an official RAM product and that they are being used exactly for that purpose.
These rolls may not be illegal But the concept and marketing of these  is very wrong on so many levels :dodgy:

I assume that this company has a business agreement with the Royal Australian Mint, opportunity seen and taken! I wonder what criteria needs to be filled to qualify, would a Coin Co-op be out of the question? :scratch_one-s_head:

The mind boggles :shok:.

Make any stickers you like, now there's a plan! Nothing like "official" mint product.

:laugh2: looks like AJPCGS might have to get some stickers so the slabs look all professional :blush2:
