There you go again -you just can't help yourself. Always someone else is the villain and that angel icon is overworked.

i reckon by now he has traded .. what about 23 kidneys for rare coins??  ha ha

so glad that Jen has tolerated out thread antics
after all the Olympic coins are getting more collectors (like me) down to woolies and out of the house
good work woolies!

:mocking: what do you mean "there you go again" :dodgy: and YES it is always someone else's fault as I take no responsibility for my own actions :blush2:
I have learnt from our politicians like the PM that if you can flick pass the blame do so :winkextra:

:laugh2: come on RG a lot of deals haven't gone through and yes an icon would be great :)

Good old mumsy got me couple of these coins as I don't go to woolies as it's a right pain getting in and out so I avoid it like the plague.

Jen knows what i'm like :friends: and knows I didn't start any of this :whistle2:

My wife went to Mudgee this morning and, while there, shopped at Woolies -she much prefers them to IGA except there isn't one here.
I said to ask about these coins and she received one for a several hundred dollar purchase; "one coin only per transaction". They would not allow splitting of items into multiple purchases.*
After loading the shopping into the car she went back and purchased several small items that we will use anyway, lined up a different checkout for each item and eventually came away with 5 yellow and 2 blue coins.
What a farce.

*But no restriction on the number of times you can line up with something else.

To my way of thinking that is a major flaw in what is otherwise a rather good idea.

agree
and I reckon it has put too much pressure in many way on the till staff

I tend to think there are more bags on the market now. The first week I had no trouble getting coins in random change and even through the self-checkout. I am legitimately spending and multiple transactions to get a $2 coin in change. Now you have no chance of any, you have to ask then they even check other tills to find just one. So where are they all? They've stayed in the bags and been snapped up by....someone. What do others think?

Coin collectors are not the only people that know about eBay, I imagine there would be more than a few of the wollies staff taking advantage of this opportunity to make a few extra dollars once they saw what the bags of coins  were selling for on the bay

troutoffski knows where they are going as he put a link on my "classic" thread as I sussed out the sellers other items and I was going to comment earlier but couldn't be bothered but now you've mentioned it PP suss out this seller. I want to know how the hell do they get so many :@
