They've stayed in the bags and been snapped up by....someone. What do others think?

• Stores are definitely hoarding.
• Staff are definitely selling on ebay.
• Some staff ARE overly generous. I've had as many as three bags in one hit. Rare, but it happens.

There are 100,000 bags of each colour. Between 950 stores according to the mint, 961 according to Woolies. So call it a hundred bags per store. On bag per till per day pretty much.

That's the theory anyway. But because everyone makes it up as they go along, there are distortions at both ends of the spectrum. :dodgy:

I want to know how the hell do they get so many

Yeah I had a look and she just wants rolls at face value to sell on ebay.

I don't think she realises that Woolworths are sponsors of the Olympic team and provide lots of money to the Olympic team throughout the year so are entitled to put their name to these coins as sponsors and get a few extra sales during the Olympics.

I don't think she cares about who has generously put their hand in their pocket to help our athletes to be able to compete in the Olympic games
All she is concerned about is making a quick quid on eBay and is upset that the distribution of these new lot of coloured coins has been so widespread and successful and it is affecting her $30 sales of the 5 coin packs :angel:

Isn't that ALL of these people though?

I mean, if someone lists coins a few years after release, nobody would bat an eyelid, regardless of the price (witness the thousand-dollar poppy bags). What I find irksome, and I'm sure everyone else does too, is that they list even BEFORE they're generally available, and at ripoff prices.

Its not just greed, its speed-greed. make a quick kill and move on to the next one. :dodgy:

End of the day the greedBay assholes taking advantage of selling new released items way above true value are those who obtain the items unethically which is like a black market in my opinion.
Unfortunately that's the way this world works and eBay has no ethics whatsoever

PLEASE NOTE  mint ROLLS DON'T exist in the olympic series as they were only issued in seald mint bags to Woolworths that were meant to be opened to circulate the coins .
