Are the coloured coins being distributed at Woolworths petrol stations too, or only from stores?

humpybong

Got 2 sets from woolies today......but had to purchase one at a time.

May try again tomorrow.

Only supermarkets!
Not at Woolworths subsidiaries.
e.g. Masters, BWS, BIG W , Dan Murphy's etc

If you look at the Woolworths website, there are woolworths branded petrol stations listed on the site.
Since they are actually branded "Woolworths" I thought they might also get the coins?

Same here, had to return and buy a second one.Probably easier to just order multiples from the Mint Shop for the sake of $10 postage.

As these sets have the obverse obscured it will be hard to find those "Choice" coins as the obverse is normally where all the detracting marks are found.

The cover pops open, not need to cut anything.

Yeah, which makes buying them from disreputable ebayers or anywhere else you can't examine the coins extremely risky.

For sure there will be substitutions going on. :dodgy:

This post will clarify the issue with the 5 coin / albums.

On page 12 of the current Woolworths catalogue (Vic) is an ad for the coloured coins.

Read the fine print last line where it states:
"^Limit 1 per transaction.

Referring to ^ in the description.

I have an image of the catalogue but have forgotten how to upload!

So my question is are the coins in the 5 coin albums of better quality than the loose coins , anyone had a look yet ?

I just had a look at one of my sets and they are NOT perfect.
Pretty much the same as you would expect from a mint baggie with the usual bagging on the coins.
They are also a Bugger to get out of the plastic "Push In" on the card.
I still think they are good value for $15 as it saves all that stuffing around at Woolies and the fuel costs involved :good:

How? Mine's glued down on 3 sides. I don't like packaging that can't see both sides.

Got mine from Wynyard Coins just now. Got the one with kayaking - which cover is the rarest?

Probably the one I just ruined having a squiz at

The cover is in 2 pieces, just separate the top from the bottom clear plastic :ok:

Every coin from RAM is able to be substituted as the capsules can be opened on all the cards/sets, I recently received a wedding set with substituted coins  :dash1:

I am surprised to hear that these Olympic coins are of inferior quality.
Why?

All the 2016 $2 Olympic coins are UNCIRCULATED coins.

Basically - circulated NCLT!

Now all we have to do is wait for the "error" sets with all the same colour coin or the like to show up on eBay :dodgy:
