A $100 bag of 20¢ coins produced a 1961 New Zealand florin and a 1993 Swiss 2 Francs.

I don't think even Nostradamus would have predicted that one Jeff!!!! Have you been finding any Pointy A's of late?

JeffH

That is 2004 20¢. Yes, one yesterday but they seem to be coming much, much less frequently than they used to.

Well done Jeff. I haven't done 20c for ages now. (Years even). I see a lot of 2004s in change, but yet to get a pointy in change. (I have half a dozen from previous noodles I think).

JeffH

I do have quite a few from a while back. That is the problem with noodling for scarcer coins -everyone else grabs any they see so they become even scarcer.

I'm sure he would have*. It it all about how you interpret his writings -very accurate to confirm things in hindsight but useless for predicting anything that is not obviously about to happen.
*I won't bother studying what he said but could surely find something to interpret as a prediction of that.

Yes Jeff, have a book somewhere in the shed of all his quatrains. From memory lots of languages used in his originals so that he wouldn't be burnt, so even the translations themselves would be capable of many interpretations. Saw a story once of the soldiers that dug him up, etc, that was a beaut if it is factual.

Good way of expanding my "vacationary". See if you can work that one out before you Google it. Yep worked it out without going to Google...Vacationary -Australian Dole Bludger...lol...

While "home detention" is the go I am taking the opportunity to reassess my error coin holdings. This one I had tagged as a partial off-centre strike but after re-noodling it today something else caught my eye that I had missed the first time around. It is a 2000 $2.

Lovely die crack Pedro!!!!

JeffH

Is it a die crack or lamination error?

Unicorn

Oddly Jeff, I thought the same, but it was the rim to I that made me think die crack.

Pedro

I went for lamination for the section near the Queen's nose and cud for the bit on the top of the "I" (but with no great degree of confidence).

Pedro

Does the cracking extend over the Queen's face Pedro? If so, I'll also go lamination for that part.

Uni, it goes a bit further to the left than the photo shows - out to the other side of the Queen's nostril.

Goldseeker

Looking at the picture, I would say a die crack and lamination flaw.
