Missing 'M' noodled!

Noodled a bag of 20¢ and found a missing 'M'. :derisive:

"NO CASH VALUE" That seems about right. :laugh2:

Hercules

Are you going to get the bank to replace it? I once found a bunch of them in the reject bin of a coin deposit machine, but I can't remember where I put them. Seeing that they have absolutely no cash value, I really couldn't care less. ;)

JeffH

An interesting one turned up today.

You haven't been playing with a die grinder have you AJ?

Cool Jeff !  :good:

I think I've found the culprit ....

JeffH

Well that explains that. I was intrigued that the rim legend was almost completely missing except "H".

:laugh2: Well he is Rimmer after all.

Is it the full 9 grams Jeff?

JeffH

My precision, 100g scale says my 100.0 test weight is 99.98g and this coin shows up at 8.99g. That's good enough for me that it is a full planchet (except for a little wear and tear).

Unicorn

I'd agree Jeff. Geez it's a pearler.

Nevol

I've got one that's a bit similar, but Jeff's coin is more extreme than mine.

I'll try to rustle up some images tomorrow.

:scratch_one-s_head: then again it might be one of mine ;)

Good find Jeff :good:

I just noodled a $200 bag of 50¢ which yielded a 1985 and two 1993. I am having a great run with these very low mintage years lately. :wavemulticolor:

Hercules

I'm having a great run with the 1972 5c and the 2004 Pointy A 20c. Both are popping up much more often than I expected, whereas the 1985 10c, the 1991 Ram's Head 50c, and the 2000 Incuse Flag 50c are popping up much less than I expected. I'm also getting lots of 2014 MoR dollars, but no more 2015 ANZAC dollars. Hence, the former now outnumber the latter by 2:1, despite having a lower mintage.

Pedro

I'm still picking up the odd 2014 $1 MOR (couple this week) and have collected more than I would have expected for the stated mintage. Sydney must have gotten a bit more than their fair share of them.

Had to throw a 1993 50c back unfortunately as it had had a hard life :@

Well done on the finds team :good:

Gee I'll have to have a noodle once I get all my bills out of the road :(
