Interesting find last night. This must be a speed record for plucking a coin from a set and throwing it in the pond.

It could be from a set or it could be a "Mint your Own" coin that you can get when you visit the Mint in Canberra.
Odd to find a NCLT coin this recent in the wild , nicely found Mate :)
Aim well to enjoy life. You only get One shot at it.

JeffH

I didn't realise that is also a mint your own coin. A more likely scenario that.

Unicorn

Well done Goldie!

How much was the 1999 $1 rotated by?

Goldseeker

I would say around 30 degrees or 1 o'clock position.

Once I get this new computer all fixed up I shall post a scan of it.

I must have looked at several thousand of those and always been upset (but never an upset)!
Good find.

Likewise Jeff, I've always looked but never found. Have had a few minor ones but they were all within tolerance.

Goldseeker

I think in total, I have found four.

I have two in my collection and I have given the others away.

They seem to be quite scarce.

A couple I raided out of the wife's purse.

2015 50c - kangaroo looks like it has a breastplate.

2009 $1 - bit of action on this one including the cud on the back of the 3rd kangaroo.

Nice ones Pedro. Great pics!

There seems to be lots of varieties in the 2015 50c but I don't think I've seem such a pronounced beastplate like that.

The 2009 pre-rabbit ears is interesting, another Roozilla perhaps!

I haven't had the cash to noodle for a while so I'm going to have to check my keepers to see if I've missed either of those.

Keep up the good work!!! :good:

Pedro

Yes, Uni, I certainly haven't seen the "ärmour" before. The neck/shoulder also has some unusual happening.

Pedro

Mister T

I got a 1972 New Zealand 50c piece in a roll of 50c pieces - most unexpected.
