Mister T

Hm, the 21st edition says "Mint set only" but mentions the 1.5 or so million pre-1987 coins as well.

Gee Jeff, three very nice finds! (Love the 2015 spew roo especially). :good:

Pedro

Some top finds there Jeff. The 2015 spew roo looks like he has lost his whole lunch!

I have never come across a 1993 20c in the wild and worked on the basis that they were MSO.

Mick's engraving/etching is very professional. Doesn't look like a mechanical process -lettering is extremely shallow and has a "burnt" appearance. Perhaps some sort of spark method?
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

Goldseeker

That 2015 Spew Roo would look nice in my collection if one wants to part with it.

Goldie, You are top of the list if I ever find another.
My rule is first one goes in my collection and, if any more found, the best one is retained and any duplicates go to a good home.

A few newies. A couple I haven't seen before.

2007 APEC $1 rim edge cuds

2008 $1 - cud on the Queen's tiara

A 2008 $1 spew roo. Cud shape is a little unusual (well, from what I've seen).

2008 $ 1- cuds on upper leg of the kangaroo

Cool Pedro, I think that's the first Tiara one I've seen.

Do you think the 2007 APEC might be a rim lamination, rather than cuds?

Pedro

It looks like overspray which I thought was more cud-like Uni (but I could of course be wrong). I'll see if I can get some more angled photos of it later in the day.

Pedro

I was think along the lines of something like this.

Pedro

Here's some closer shots Uni. Looks like you were on the money (so to speak) - seems to be some lamination action there.

A few more errors.

2014 $1 ANZAC - cud on top of the first zero.

2015 $1 MOR - cud on the Queen's cheek (suspect she may be having thoughts of Charles taking over the throne)

2015 $1 MOR - cuds on the big kangaroo's arms.

2015 $1 MOR - cuds on and near the IRB

AussieSilver

nice finds Pedro you must have quite a collection , how are you storing them?

[attachment=3423]5 cent with extreme doubling/blobbing , found 4 of these all come with the little cud on queens nose

:ok: Great error 5c AS.

At the moment mine are stored a little haphazardly - it's more fun to look for more than pack them away in an orderly fashion

The better quality finds or rarer errors I put into Saflips and the lesser quality ones are stored by find date in snaplock bags. One of these days I will get around to tucking the coins in Saflips into sleeves and index them better.
