Time for the Twilight Zone theme music:

Found two of these guys in a roll of $1s I noodled today. Surprised when I found the first one but even more so when a second turned up a few coins later. Not as good as Oz but still on the spooky side.

Spooky Pedro!

When Oz reported his I pondered that possibility that the RAM may have had a non-packed unsold left over box of these and simply dished them out to the security companies in the latest delivery, thus giving rise to the possibility.

Now that you've entered the Twilight Zone, perhaps that is a possible explanation, but still really really odd. (It would mean the RAM had a cleanup of 13 year old coins).

Drum roll for OMC ......... How Bizarre!

Pedro

Never let it be said that the RAM doesn't keep up with the latest technology. It is now issuing the Queen and Roos with WiFi:

Both cuds were on the same coin.

I had considered the possibility of the RAM doing a cleanup too.
Now it seems to be the most likely explanation.

More photos from the latest noodle.

Lovely work Pedro!

You've really got me itching to do a noodle or two.

Pedro

The 2015 $1 MORs seem to have a range of errors coming out Uni so quite a bit to look out for!

Yes, it certainly looks to be a good year. I think 2015 is the first year I've ever seen a cud on the 4th roo in that spot. That and the Lizzie nose Wifi.

JeffH

picked up six 2015 "100 years of ANZAC" $1 yesterday. First ones for that year I have seen.
If they are turning up here then the must be fairly widespread now.
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

Pedro

I've only come across one 2015 ANZAC $1 so far but plenty of 2015 MORs.

Well done Jeff ..... even more fuel to feed my noodling desires!

(I only just had to put 20 of my 2014 Anzacs back in to the pond ...... broke as usual).
