ok.. i have been holding back with this one
agh my precious :grin::D

it is rotated  a bit , even in the slab - is this poor workmanship by pcgs or do they move in the slab ?

also this coin is not accepted by pcgs registry set :( bugger , even tho the 1800 proclamation says " a half-johanna" ...

might have to write to pcgs and change their minds .

ausjack

Send it to me so I can suss it out and tell you if it moves in the slab, I'll watch it for days and days just to make sure, now that's a beautiful coin duggee and thank you so very much for sharing :drooling:

Oh and I know you hold out on me :winkextra: :laugh2:

I have a Shitty day one of the guys failed his drug test and i have to spend the night in Perth to put his sorry arse on a plane home instead of having a good night at the boozer before starting night shift tomorrow night.

serial

If you have an electric toothbrush the place it against the slab (not the brush bit) and the coin will move in the slab. You can then rotate it slowly.

robbiegal

seriously?
that is funny Serial!!!
I got a couple of rotated slabs - might try it

aj
your so funny , i've got tears in my eyes just laughing ... what a guy you are , willing to do that .

next time i visit i will have it with me , maybe i should use some back roads and it might bounce back to right rotation :D

ausjack

:) my pleasure mate so my job here is done :friends: Mate you don't have to take the back roads just take the bloody highway as it's as rough as guts :winkextra: hopefully they have a bit more done by the time you come up :good: and still know where my pagoda is..for now :blush2:

I picked these up for a grand total of $37.50 including postage.
They have honest circulation wear, Nice original Proclamation coins.
Just goes to show that you don't have to be a millionaire to get hold of some proc coins :good:

SirDave

Here's one my mum picked up when she worked in a bank in England in the 60s. It came from gas meters where people had coin operated gas at home. People got desperate for heat in the English winters.

It was only when mum got some of her old coins out I realised it was a proclamation coin.

I love this coin, it has a great look and I like the angular reeding these coins have.

To me this looks in pretty good nick.
