WavyTwenty

Not plumbing or electrical - but most everything else.

I renovated the downstairs bathroom, did the tiling and suchlike.  Replaced all lights with LED downlights (love em!), etc.  Mainly only cosmetic things though - certainly also not a builder or anything like that.

I do enjoy it.

why not plumbin wavy..it's easy mate and probably my fav. There's not much I couldn't do before and now there's not much I can do :laugh2:

Mark is doing a brilliant job at the moment on a backyard reno. 2 water tanks, a new garden shed, beautiful new garden beds and fake wood (plastic/bamboo) screens. The next job is to choose an instant lawn type. Anyone got ideas? Couch is the favourite right now.

I like Buffalo grass & Blue or Green Cooch grass.

JeffH

Couch is my preference. Carpet grass is good too; where the climate permits.
Steer well clear of Kikuyu. People around here have planted it from seed -never used to be available as a seeding variety- and now all the neighborhood lawns are being overtaken my self sown K.

Jeff
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

ausjack

I 3rd couch..the best and maybe the blue :) Ok the adds of it are it's grows thinker(spreads along the ground) but doesn't have really think runners like others and not as high as most and looks the best after a mow..a lot of the other grow higher and quicker a lot of the time so it's a lot more mowin.

They are digging up the turf at Adelaide Oval and giving away 1ft squares to the public on Sunday so anyone can have a piece of Adelaide Oval turf in their yard.  PPH said we should go line up 500 times and use that.

go with the Cooch Mark, the buffalo and kikuya when freshly cut can cut the skin on the kids when they muck about on the lawn.
The Cooch is as tough as nails and looks great as well.
It's a bit of a bugger if it gets into the garden beds tho.
