Except it won't be a tattoo it will be a microchip -every vet. practice in the country already has the technology.
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

some people are under the misapprehension that this app will warn you if you are within 1.5 of a meter of somebody who has the virus.

It doesn't do this at all, confused people.

Could we get Jacinda Ardern over here please?

No tats please, I'd rather be chipped. I don't do sunburn well, and hate the thought of loosing my skin in the advent of a black market for light shade covers
As we age we lose three things, one is our memory and arrrrr I've forgotten the other two!

My wife would kill for your lungs Kel, she only has 20 - 25 % capacity.
Like you, it is also due to the smokes. She gave up, but not soon enough.

I was one of the last to get a phone (about 7 years ago). Unfortunately I need it as it is a work requirement for taking/sending photos of timesheets and of any security incidents. I only have Viber to contact Australia and Uber to get a ride (super cheap in Cairo with a 20 mile drive under $20).
I don't however have twatter, facebutt or any similar site as they claim copyright in perpetuity on anything posted with the power to sell info, delete info and alter info.
Even things like emails I'm careful with as that data can be compromised. As an example the Australian embassy here recently sent out an email to everyone on their contact list and they stupidly included the email addresses of everyone on that list. So if any of those 200 people have compromised computers or lose their phones then spammers will have another 200 victims to spam. Worse yet is not just annoying spam but the risk that the list will get into the hands of criminals (or terrorists), especially as most on that list have details such as their address here in Egypt to the embassy. Not a minor risk as the suburb I'm in has had several terrorists killed in shootouts a few months ago and the street I'm on has a police checkpoint with machine guns.

Wishing you all the best Neal. Stay safe  :s

That sounds bad Neal, so you have no way out soon ? Take care and stay safe...
Collecting coins is not about having the best, but loving what you have ...

Machine guns are good ...as long as you are on the right side of them. Fired a couple in the army reserve.

Machine guns are even better when those using them have half a brain. I've seen police here taking naps by resting their hands on the nozzle with the butt on the footpath and their head resting on their hands. Plus they rest their guns most of the time with the muzzle pointing in the direction of the public. Either action would get me kicked off the range back here in Australia even if my rifle or pistol was empty and these idiots have full magazines in old and poorly maintained condition.

Such behaviour would have cost you your weekend pass during my time in the German Army (which is now ancient history). Getting a weekend pass was very important to us grunts back then.

That was very good,  but too close to reality to be totally funny

Seems like there is no fast track, yet again flights are cancelled and the airline is showing no flights till mid June. Another airline is showing flights later this month at $4500 per person one way (a 500% markup on what flights normally cost and as much as we paid for 3 return airfares).
At least we are getting more work done on the flat. Yesterday the last 2 beds came from the factory and the shower door was installed. On Monday my lazy boy recliner comes and then we just need to finish the kitchen and the verandah roof (top floor, fantastic view, perfect weather).
Love being here but still need to get back to make more money so we can fund our early retirement (and once we hit pension age what gives a crap lifestyle in Australia will more than pay to live here and travel whenever we like, many years ago I did trips like catch a bus to Israel for a weekend or fly to Greece for a few days, last year took a 1 hour flight to Aswan, took a nice 5 star Nile cruise to Luxor, had a balloon flight over Hatshepsut temple and flew back to Cairo and it cost less than an Australian pension pays fortnightly.
So just need this silly lockdown to end
