Hey Folks, Hope you are all well and ready as much as you can be in a situation like this. Its spending like wild fire at the moment. More than anything else, you manage to do your grocery shopping and manage to get the necessities before panic buying. Stay safe and wash your hands ! Take care..

One thing to know is that COVID-19 is just one of about seven varieties of corona virus. The more usual varieties of corona virus are what cause the common cold.

Yeah, best wishes to everyone, for me its time to sort out nearly 60 years of Coin Collecting mess over the coming weeks if the Football Season is called off.

The Locusts (race deleted) descended on local marker Tuesday last week, stripped shelves bare, mainly rice and dunny rolls.
Figure out who that would be.
Not second hand, with my own eyes, I saw poor worker pull trolley from rear store with pallet of paper towels and attempt to put them on the shelves.
Did not get there, two (race deleted) Locusts grabbed them off pallet and filled two shopping trolleys and raced off to auto check out.
Did not get through, although illegal to do so, management removed all but a couple of packs and (race deleted) Locusts departed.
Since then not stocking shelves with any paper rolls of any description, sick of staff being abused by Locusts , get it somewhere else.
New arrangement was line up at service desk for personal care items.
Tomorrow woolies will try 7 to 8 for card carrying pensioners and others not that mobile, I'm one of those and dislike being shoved aside by (race deleted) Locusts.
Will see how we go, do next shop on Wednesday.
Fred.

I know the ethnicity of those locusts. Reports of busloads of them going from town to town and raiding the supermarkets.
The Woolies initiative is a good one and getting plenty of publicity on Facebook.

Woolworths, Coles and IGA are doing the 7 to 8am shop for seniors and disabled.

I just saw on the news some footage of USA shoppers lined up, with their trolleys, outside a supermarket waiting to get in. Then coming out with loaded trolleys and no prizes for guessing what they were loaded with. What are they thinking? Maybe their President has managed to turn them into Doomsday Preparers.
Well I have news for them...toilet paper will not be a high priority come the apocalypse.

I have read what Margaret Court has to say about covid-19 and was disgusted that someone could have such an arrogant viewpoint. Now I am eagerly waiting what Izzie thinks -not really, another dose of disgust is not what I want.

In case anyone here is thinking "This is just a stupid overreaction to the flu", this is not the case.
If you are older, your chances of dying from this are huge compared to "flu".
Stay safe everyone.

take care because we care ..

JeffH

Maybe we need a few more people thinking along those lines.
Seems to be too much of a "she'll be right" attitude coming from to top down.

I totally agree Jeff, I had second, third, forth and fifth thoughts about taking little Miss Uni to school today (she's 9). I did, however were are rather isolated (20 kids kindy to 6th grade), but still reviewing tomorrow. Stay safe all.

Kel,
While some people might say that is an overreaction, I think that is a sensible decision with what is known so far.
