Re my post #98.
This is my last dunny roll report folks.
The number of sellers under a constant criteria search on ebay:
1/04/20 = 1655
5/04/20 = 167
Action by ebay to stop price gouging, and market forces such as the criminals that stripped shelves running out of stock, appear to have normalised the market at least on ebay.
Post this epidemic there is a lot of social change and reckoning to be done particularly with traders from Asia.
There has been a softly softly infiltration of our country, quietly taking over our businesses and universities, smiling in the background with lots of handshakes and donations of money to quell any doubts.
We all thought fake Asian coins were a problem!
Have no doubt we are dealing with a culture with a wealthy ruling class and the rest are peasants of no consequence, the toiling masses. All you have to do is figure out if we want Australia to be included in the toiling masses or not and take action at the next elections. If the candidate is non Australian or holds dual citizenship do not vote for them. If the candidate/party accepts donations from overseas sources, do not vote for them. That is how you drive a wedge into the bastards and get rid of them.
We may have incompetents governing us, but at least they are just incompetent, not un-australians pushing a long held agenda.
That was an editorial i think, but people wake up!
Fred.

Hi Fred, dual nationals are already excluded from standing for parliament. The issue is that they can renounce their foreign nationality but retain links to their real home including their CCP membership.Just In Time and global manufacturing chains are a disaster when wars, pandemics or global shipping bottlenecks can bugger everything up.

I saw an American emergency services chief do this on SBS news tonight. Could not find the actual clip but many similar on YouTube.
Tried it and literally took me twenty seconds. Not sure how effective it would be but I guess anything is better than nothing.
It is rather hot -I had a heavy chief in my pocket though. Pick your rubber bands carefully if you don't want sore ears after a while.
I found that it is not necessary to overlap and tuck the folded in ends together -sits quite firmly regardless but pull the centre up, not the ends.
FINE PRINT If I included this, like some things I have purchased recently, the caveats, warnings and denial of responsibility would be longer than the instructions. So make up your own if you want any.

And offshoring all manufacturing overseas means no control of anything or access to goods when it really counts....

All governments from Hawke, Keating, Howard, Rudd, Gillard, Abbot, Turnbull and Scomo have sucked on not just China's wick, but all developing nations. We are drunk on cheap imports and have been lining up at Bunnings and Harvey Norman etc for more than two decades grabbing what we think are bargains, all the while killing our manufacturing industries and putting fellow Australians out of work.

The death of many Australian manufacturers was a long and slow process, partly due to greed and irresponsible actions by Companies and unions going as far back as the mid seventies but, more importantly, a deliberate goal by a long line of successive governments.

True story. Around 1989-90, a mate whose daughter was relatively high up in the union movement was invited to attend a union convention at which the second highest ranking politician in the country at the time was one of the speakers. My mate got to have a one on one conversation with this person who spelled out his vision for Australia, who described  how the nation was on the verge of a great mineral boom, and as a result, we would see heightened importation of manufactured goods which eventually would have a negative impact on our own manufacturing industry and jobs. He went on to say that the envisaged invigorated local economic climate would allow the welfare system to look after those who found themselves left behind. All Governments of all persuasions since have followed this line of thinking, and is why we find ourselves where we are.

The fact is, when this prophesy came to pass, we had no real answer to providing a safety net or creating job opportunities at the level required, so our leaders decided it a good idea to dramatically increase the immigration intake which they new would inject increased demand in the housing industry. Have a look at when the immigration numbers turned upwards.

Guess what? All the extra dollars people thought they had because of cheaper imports, would soon be swallowed up in increased rents and house prices because of increased demand for housing, It's a no brainer, the more we have to spend, the more we allocate to housing. The plain and simple fact is, if there is a spike in population through artificial means (high immigration) on top of normal growth, the demand for houses, cars and toilet rolls will increase also. Governments and big business know and thrive on this at the expense of most social norms.

Sure, if our long line of failed Governments had decided to back local manufacturing, no doubt we would be paying more for the goods we buy but, at the same time, if we hadn't gone down the path of ridiculous immigration during the same period, Australians would be paying far less for rent and housing.

Given a choice of paying more for material items whilst retaining a skilled manufacturing workforce, also knowing our kids have jobs and cheaper housing, as opposed to the path we have taken, give me the world of tariffs any day.

Here here Auto. My work on construction sites was with 90% people who were here on temp visas to use imported construction materials to build overpriced apartments for Chinese investors. Many of the workers spoke no English and were not being paid minimum wage or overtime, many had no work visa, the materials were not just shoddy but often dangerous such as the flammmable cladding similar to the London tower fire. The investors were often flown in to buy the entire building and because the number 4 is bad luck in Chinese many buildings no longer have a fourth floor..
Where I am now (Egypt) the Chinese have been using the same tactics to start turning the entire continent into a vassal state and they are heavily involved in building the new Egyptian capital. They also brought the CCP ? with them and now hundreds are infected in the area I'm staying.

I have wondered what extent IQ will be connected to the chance of dying from covid-19.
Obviously there is a huge amount of chance involved, but stupid people take dumb risks (e.g. breaking social isolation rules).....

fred lever

Yeah Oz, natural selection at work.
Epidemics are designed to remove the weak and stupid from the herd and so enhance the species.
Now lets see , i'm over 70 (weak) and not that smart (stupid)........OH.........NO..............

We are advised to sneeze or cough into our elbow. We should not shake hands but some are saying a quick elbow bump is an acceptable substitute.
Is that the elbow a covid-19 inadvertent carrier just coughed into?
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

Yes, I always thought that was a weird one. As for me, no bumping of elbows, and when I speak I try to look away slightly. If that upsets the locals, so be it.
