I like the Proof set boxes.

The Baby Sets will be the same as the regular sets. I think the colour inside will be a blue/grey/purple shade.

There will be a special $1 coin design with a specific date on it for every day of the year. So there will be 365 sets you have to buy for the dedicated $1 coin collector.

That would be the next logical step. A coin for each letter of the alphabet for baby's name. And now a coin for each date for baby's birthday. :)

Oh it will come in business strike, proof, and silver, an option for every price range.

And 366 in a leap year!
That is too ridiculous to be true! Isn't it?

Next it will be personalised coins (à la numberplates). Or, maybe, send in a picture and get yourself, a loved one or even Donald trump on a coin. Australia Post does that with stamps already.
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

When that happens  I stop collecting Australian Decimal and just concentrate on Euro CC's. :dodgy::dodgy:

Cheers Mike
Australian Decimal, UK Decimal, USA & Euro Coins are what I collect.

Before we inundate RAM with complaints. I just want to point out this is entirely of my uneducated and uninformed speculations.

I am thinking that the 2017 5c may only be available in the Mint and Proof sets next year.
There are a few rumors going around the tracks that the 5c may be taken out of service at some stage and that RAM will cut down on the mintages or not mint any for certain years as there are probably enough of them in circulation for commerce at the moment anyway.
We will just have to wait and see and it won't be the first time a denomination hasn't been minted for a year, There are plenty of "Mint Set Only" years for decimals in the past :ok:

With the $2 coins now in the limelight I would not be surprised at all if the baby sets had a different design $2 coin in them like they did with the dollar coin before.
That way collectors would be enticed to add the baby sets to the shopping list as well as the Mint sets.

I have just picked up my 2017 proof and Mint sets from the Post office.
A big improvement with the Mint set coins quality and the Proofs are their usual Perfect selves :ok:
I am definitely not afflicted with "packkyboxitis" But the proof outer box is rather nice, It is embossed and the Queens image is outstanding the way the relief has been pressed out on the cardboard :good::)
