Possible 2014 $1 Mule

JUST ASKING!

If you superimpose the PCGS image of the 2014 mule over the top of the known good well-centred 2000 Mule,  how come the second rim (supposedly from the 10 cent die) is significantly wider than that of the 2000 mule?

I have tried this with a number of 2000 mule images and in every case the second rim in the 2000 coin is significantly smaller than the 2014 rim.

Is it a trick of the photography that PCGS does?

The "Trueview" images provided by PCGS are a very good and accurate representation of the coin so if the rim is significantly different for the two coins then that is the way it is :ok:

I wonder if pcgs actually measured the coin or if they, like so many other just seen the double rim and assumed it's a mule

Interesting. Downies seem to be able to get their hands on everything.

Was the 2015 a dollar or a two dollar? For some reason I have it in my head that there was a so-called 5C/$2 mule, but I may have misremembered.

I also thought the 2015 may have been a $2, I think that was because we were never shown the reverse.

I wouldn't be surprised if they made some for every year from 2014 to 2017. They'll probably make some 2018 ones next year, and then sell them all in sets for 6-figure profits. Imagine just how popular a complete set of ANZAC mules dated 2014 to 2018 would be! The poor 1930 penny just wouldn't be able to complete with them, despite the fact that they are mint sport. :@

but no mules in amongst them .

I haven't heard anything so I'm guessing neither coin has sold yet?
