I'm trying to find where in the fine print it states this, but all I could find was PCGS' guarantee of grade and authenticity, where they state that the collector is entitled to certain compensation if PCGS has made a mistake about authentication.

I stand corrected.

I am being cheeky now, but perhaps you were thinking of coins graded by the A-PCGS prior to 2015, where the coins are not guaranteed for authenticity!

No just an honest mistake about PCGS.....would not touch APCGS with a barge pole.....I have a story or two about them and the shop in port Macquarie that gives me a firm opinion of them. This is all post the lady that owned it (think her name was Christine) sold up. Did a fair number of deals with the old owner.

Looks like the real deal now. Link 2014 ANZAC $1/10c mule PCGS MS63: (disclaimer: not associated with this coin or it's owner, just saw it on Facebook)

If that mule went up for sale what would it go for now that it has the PCGS seal of approval? Do deep pocket potential buyers not worry that dozens or even hundreds more may be waiting to hit the market and bid hard in case it is unique? Do they have to have this coin to have a complete set of circulating dollars (and bragging rights) or would they not worry about this coin as a number of other unique dollar coins exist (like the bat coin with a date 2 years earlier than the standard design)? As the 2000 mule goes for multiple thousands in MS does that indicate that this is a 5 figure coin?

Unicorn

Wow! Thanks for posting that PPH. So this being the coin on page 16 of the thread, which looks different to the OP pics on page 1 would suggest that at least 2 exist (so far).

Bugger, ya beat me to it PP, just seen it on FB so here's the link if anyone wants a closer look. I'm still thinking it's mint sport after the madness for the 2000 mule, and how did they get them out of the mint

Yes I agree Uni, two different coins as the one that's been graded has two funny triangular marks on the queens chin and the OP one has a funny scuff near the queens eye.

Gee.... I have coped a lot of unfair criticism on Facebook about my opinion on the original coin. Guess the matter is put to rest now....even though after all pcgs are just offering another opinion!

Where on Facebook did you see it? Can find anything anywhere

It's a shame pcgs can't tell if a coin is mint sport or not as I still think they're mint sport, same as the 2007 5 cent double header :dash1:
There so many people carrying on like the tools they are and there's now mention of a 2015 double headed $1 but as usual no picks or anything like that, I think so many just make BS up for the sake of it. Some of the pages are,

I am afraid that the "Mint Sport" cronies at the Mint seem to be able to produce whatever they want with impunity unfortunately.
It gives me the impression that there may be some sort of collusion with management as this unfortunate practice seems to be getting more prevalent over recent years.
Personally I won't have a Bar of Any of these mint sport offerings and fervently hope that the culprits are finally apprehended and thrown in jail.
