This is what Dion Buck from RAM had to say regarding rolled coins :ok:

QuoteThere is unfortunately much subterfuge in the secondary market trade that muddies these waters, exhibit A is the product a variety of coin sellers are promoting at the moment for approx $1000 for only a few rolls. Coin rolls used to be valuable because they were a time capsule of the year they were issued to the world, guaranteed fresh from the Mint, some of this legacy I'm sure lives in the prices of what is sold on the secondary market today.

On the contrary I would think RG.
I would think that Dion's hands are pretty "tied" when he comments on any site and especially the RAM site and that was as strong a condemnation that he would be game to come up with :ok:

He did come up with a whole lot of Bullshit when asked why RAM supplied the Dealers with coin rolls and Not collectors, But Hay this is RAM I was asking

Wither you approve of what he is doing or not  I don't think our Mr Cotton is a Fool and would have looked into the legality of this "Project" before commencing it.
I personally think that what he is doing is "Fully Shonky" but I doubt that it is against the law unfortunately :ok:

I wouldn't without seeing his credentials. My super is staying where it is.
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

Quote from: 'robbiegal' pid='97330' dateline='1473311845'it is a pyramid system and the manufacturer is distanced from the actual point of sale

'Pyramid system'??????

Puh-LEEZE!

Its the exact same system EVERYBODY in the retail sector uses, in this country and every other for that matter.

Or do you think Woolies manufactured the coins they were handing out?

Look, criticism is fair enough, but try not to stray into la-la-land, willya?

When you buy something in Australia you are protected by Australian consumer laws... it doesn't matter if you purchase direct from manufacture or retailer.
If you do or don't agree with the value of this product is one thing... but the mode of distribution seems legit to me.
I don't see the problem with someone making something for others to sell-on.. majority of products are like this aren't they?

I'm not advocating for this product by any means..just playing devils advocate.

..Also i just saw a local classifieds style Facebook page where one girl was advertising 2x (uncarded) Paralympic coins for $500neg.... :D

:laugh2: no I wouldn't Jeff, he's a dodgy bastard that's for sure  :D

If this so called "product" and I use that term very loosely is so good and credible why isn't the turd making them selling them him self as he's on FB and ebay or even his own site so I think all this talk about it being reputable and good business is a load of BS and sounds like there's a lot of kick backs going on behind closed doors or pissin peoples pocket to try and get batter deals down the track..business is business right, don't think so. Some here have complained greatly about other businesses practices but then find this sort of thing acceptable :dodgy: They are not mint roll only coins from the mint but looks like cotton & co are trying to squeeze a foot in the mint roll door to make the big bucks. This is all a really bad dream and I'll wake up soon :lazy2:
