A thousand dollars for 6 rolls sounds like that 40million seller on greedBay is it?
Buy what gives you enjoyment

QuoteSo sorry but the 'backyard' thing just won't wash.

What part of this offering is it that makes it a genuine RAM promotion and NOT a backyard job ???
Has this been sanctioned by RAM ?? I very much doubt it.
And FYI I don't collect rolls or worry about the packaging on coins But many others do and to those others it IS important and it isn't "Just Paper" to them.
Why can't you just admit that your new found friends are just common con artists ??

Why would I admit to a lie?

And since when does having a contrary opinion justify personal attacks anyway?

My 'new found friends' as you put it, consist of one telephone conversation, one order, one delivery and one meeting and conversation with a dealer who has nothing to do with the production of these items.

And yet, some have chosen to tar him, and me, with a very broad brush, based on what is, quite frankly, a huge load of bullshit.

By all means, disagree, disapprove, and disavow, for such is your right. But be careful when straying into unwarranted disrespect.

Methinks this is really a backyard job, not even utilising a rolling machine!

But they say they have "machines specially modified for numismatics"...maybe the machine puts the stickers on

I am almost certain that a rolling machine is used to produce these But that still doesn't make these rolls "Kosher".
It just means that they are produced by a high tech "Backyarder" :dodgy:

A high tech backyarder with plenty of money. Shame we now have people like this in the hobby that are only in it for the money but each their own and I'll support the little blokes when I can :good:

umm think that is the prototype pictures
and the rolls don't actually exist yet

perhaps the rolling machine is still  on that ship from China and could be held up, who knows

There is zero difference between the Downies coins, or OldCoinChest's for that matter, and these rolls. Or, for that matter, private PNCs or any other form of packyboxyitis involving coins or notes.

Me, I wouldn't buy any of them. But I can and do make my own Packyboxy products which I've posted about before, mainly for convenience in protecting, storing and  tracking bulk coins. And who knows, maybe one day I'll start flogging them off myself, if I get the quality good enough.

You'd all be clamoring to buy certified McDuck Mint Metallised BOPP/BoPET Shrink-Wrapped rolls complete with colourful vistas and commemorative holograms, right? Something like this concept mock-up only better:

I had a ram roll earlier

:scratch_one-s_head: but then again it could have just been lamb :)

It's a bit mean showing a bloke images like that when he is in the bush :drooling:

Come on you have all the mod cons and you showed a lovely muddy so now we're even as a crappy roll is nothing compared to a yummy crab :(

SULLA

I asked the eBay seller 40million
"Who is the roll of coins CERTIFIED by?"

The response:

"The coins come from Uncirculated single coin and 5 coin Folders
They are rolled using a numismatic coin rolling machine- which is gentler than a security Company's machine
The coins are being rolled under video surveillance to validate the claim- the footage will be archived

Cheers

Wendy"

I replied:
"Who is the roll of coins CERTIFIED by?"

I have not received a reply.

I was actually reading that the 4-star chefs and crabs are gone now. Its more like your typical overpriced hospital canteen. :(
