QuoteMate they have been all over FB for a few days and yes the fights have started already with the admin of one page saying it was all good that one of the members was doing a pre sale of 5o lots at $29 and a few people said it was a ripoff so they got banned.

Mate that facebook mob appear to have very little integrity, I can just imagine the shenanigans that mob of dodgy buggers are up to

Yes the set of 5 coins will be $15 direct from RAM.
I think that RAM should step in and refuse to sell these sets to these people that are obviously ripping people off .

Yes I agree RG but the mint won't do anything because they just want their money and don't care about anything else :(

Trout you don't know the half of it mate, the fights and underhandedness is rife and accepted so I only buy off forum members I know like emu and only there to laugh at the idiots and what they get up to and I use to try and help newbies but they know it all and don't want anyone's help but that's to be expected :winkextra:

It's funny how on the few card sites I was on a few years ago everyone was pre ordering or selling cards that hadn't been released but because of things happening to orders and people not being able to provide and then trying to get money back to the buyers they ended up saying no more and there should be a law saying you can't sell something you don't have but then we couldn't do that as it would make too much sense :dash1:

Every Facebook group I've been in I've either been thrown out of or quit (well, except for the MNS group, but then I'm an admin there), and always for the same reason. The scumbags running them are using them to line their own pockets and they actively work to keep the victims ignorant. If you show up with the sort of attitude we all share here, its not going to end well.

Bugger 'em. Anybody stupid enough to drink their Kool-Aid deserves a one-way trip to heaven. ;)

I don't "DO" facebook But from what I have heard it is pretty much the same as the old "Newsgroups" which were all the Go in the 70's and 80's and were pretty much the precursor to the WWW that we have today.
If this is correct then why not just form your own group with your own admin crew and maybe some of these sheep being led to slaughter can be saved :ok:

Mrs. Robster was given 2 'Blueys' this morning in her change! (despite telling the operator she has 37 grandchildren).

I have to go into town today so I might nip into Wollies while I am there and see if they have any of the coins available here in the West :ok:

That's pretty much exactly what the MNS group is. The majority of members who attend meetings don't "do" Facebook, while there are remote people like AJ who will never get to a meeting.

OK, so I was at the first store at 7am. And I just got home after spitting the dummy at the last one. I'm on the phone lodging a complaint now actually.

NONE of the stores have a clue what they're doing. There is a multipage "instruction manual" that is either being applied haphazardly or not at all.

Outcomes:

BEST case: A very nice lady gave me a sealed bag.

WORST case (the one I'm complaining about): After asking and being told a flat "NO", I went in and purchased something. As I was heading to the checkout, I saw the guy I originally spoke to have a word with the supervisor, who then grabbed a clipboard, came to the checkout I was in line for, and made the girl read it. I paid, saw a bag of coins in the till, but she picked out old ones to give me. I asked for the new ones, and she refused. So I made a fuss, and demanded a refund. The original guy came over, and I pointed out that this was entirely his doing, and that they've just lost a customer, then stormed out.

Most stores were somewhere in between. Almost all demanded a purchase, which is company policy, but some were nicer than others, and I did strike one girl who obviously hadn't been clued in and gave me all the loose coins she had.

And now we gotta do this dance every Monday for the next five weeks. Grrrrr... :diablo:

As I told the complaints guy, this is a public relations disaster, and its not going to end well.

Yeah? So how come we all know which buttons to push then? :P

I just got back from town and after 3 lots of "Shopping" at Woolies I ended up with 10 pretty nocked about blue $2 coins and a bunch of shopping I really didn't need.
I did however score some really nice and big Banana Prawns so it looks like Stir Fry is on the menu for tonight , YUM :)
I think the best coins will come from the 5 coin carded set from the RAM Shop, because the checkout chicks are as rough as guts with the way the coins are being handled at Woolies :ok:

My main issue is there is no Woolworths in the town where I live. By the sounds of it that is not necessarily a worry anyway.
