Sounds a plan. Start a thread, put your total and add two for me.
As anyone else puts a figure in then edit the initial post to add their figure and update the running total.

It would have been helpful if you'd taken a photo of both sides. I've just completed another $2 noodle, and it took me a while to figure out what was so special about a $2 coin that was slightly off centre. Now, I know it's a $1 coin, which makes sense. Good find! :yahoo:

tonymac

What is special about the 2011 $1 with the Kangaroos I've been spending them was that wrong ?????

Nevol

Nothing special that I can think of unless it's got some errors on it.

Way to go Jeff!! Great find on the mule.

We noodled with the kids about 1k in $2, $1 and 20c yesterday after making a trip to the Commonwealth Bank roll vending machine (I love that thing) in a shopping centre not too far.

Found an 84 bunny, proof 84 dollar, 85 backpack roo, 3 coloured anzac $2, $2 rim cud, landcare cud and a couple of $2 planchet flaws.

I think Tony's referring to this comment that Goldseeker made a couple of pages back:

Quote from: 'Goldseeker' pid='98330' dateline='1474282718'I have as part of my coin records, a chart that shows the reeding location of all the $1 coins I have in my collection from 1992 op to the Kangaroo $1 of 2011.

There's nothing special about 2011. That's just the year that Goldseeker got sick of keeping these records and started doing something more productive with his time. ;)

I found a 1984 spew roo the other day, and I was a bit surprised to see one that old, since most of the other examples I have are dated 2015. You did very well to get 3 red ANZAC coins in just $1000. I've got a strike rate about 10-15x lower than that, but still higher than a lot of other people's. :)

Well done Jeff!
Congratulations!

Great work PPH!! :good: .... any chance of a pic as I've never seen an 85 backpack roo. (Unless of course my memory is as bad as I think it is lately).

thanks Hercules and tony for correcting me , every time I come on line lately I seem to make a silly question or mistake , maybe I should be quite for a while and think before I type anything .

Why on earth would you do that Kel.
Your statement about the 2011 10c being a low mintage year is quite correct :good:
1.75 million is most certainly a low mintage for a 10c issue :ok:

I agree. I have just sorted about 3kg of 10¢ coins, collected from change in the past months and not one 2011 to be found.
