Not according to my information. The real reason we don't get many is because they were withdrawn before they had a chance to migrate to Australia, and a lot of people decided to hoard them rather than spend them over here. :)

Just sussed numista and it looks like a lot are mint set only coins so that might explain why a little and also like Herc said and they were hoarded when they changed the size.

Down the bottom of page 3 are the 20 cents and onto page 4 https://en.numista.com/catalogue/nouvelle-zelande-3.html

Gee they reduced the size heaps as they went from an 11.31g coin down to 4g, that would save them heaps..and especially when so many coins are mint set only.

I got my information directly from the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. Here's the link: www.rbnz.govt.nz/-/media/ReserveBank/Files/Statistics/tables/f4/hf4.xls

Maybe we don't get as many because the kiwi's are to scared to come over now as they don't know when Mr potatohead is likely to sent them home for no reason

Good find, and looks a little better than the usual after 17 years :good: Was it random or noodled?

I have looked but cannot find a definition of "Noodling" other than hand catching flathead catfish in USA.

Can some one give me a definition or is there a definition somewhere I can look up.

Thanks
Cheers
