I think your right Jeff and they palm them off as quick as they can so it saves them doing paperwork :dash1:

Good work Jeff! :ok:

2012 Solomon Islands $2 in a $1 sack. I already had one and this one looked like it has done 4 or 5 years of hard labour so I threw it back.

Hercules

You should consider yourself lucky. I never get them in the rolls. :dash1:

Mister T

I got two changeover 5c pieces from $10 of 5c pieces.

ausjack

Pretty good to find a couple in $10 worth.

If you can get them you'll probably find more foreign coins in armourguard rolls Herc as that's where I find more.

Another 2015 $1 spew roo this morning. Looks like they may just be common enough that everyone has a chance of finding one eventually.

Where did you get them from? Bags or rolls? Chubb, Armaguard or Prosegur? :drooling:

I do get Armaguard rolls and I get plenty of foreign coins in the 5c, 10c and 20c rolls, but very few in the 50c rolls and almost none in the $1 and $2 rolls. I think the Kiwi $1 coins and the Solomon Island $2 coins in particular get filtered out because of their size or weight. :dash1:

I've already got plenty of them. Nothing special, but worth keeping in AU condition. ;)

I reckon the bucket of them from that die must have all gone in bulk to the area that you and Kel live in.

Down my way I've only found 1 which well and truly took it's time to arrive (Oct 2016).

QuoteSolomon Island $2 coins
are identical size and general appearance to AU $1 coins and I have found several in Armaguard rolls.
Don't know about this "filtered out" theory when I have found US quarters and Italian 500 lira (and have had plenty of other mismatched for size/weight/appearance) in the past.

I just did another batch of 5c and $2 coins.

From 12 rolls of 5c coins, I got:
1x 1972 (Low SD)
1x 1981 Fiji
12x 2015
16x 2016 Standard
0x 2016 Changeover

From 12 rolls of $2 coins, I got:
33x 2016 Standard
3x 2016 Changeover
1x 2016 Olympics (Blue)
1x 2016 Olympics (Black)
1x 2016 Olympics (Red)
1x 2016 Olympics (Yellow)
1x 2016 Paralympics

Ozcoins

Well done Hercules.
I have not found any coloured  $2 for a while.

Hercules

How are you searching for them? The Armaguard rolls in Brisbane are full of them!

Ozcoins

Armaguard rolls in Sydney.

Quote from: 'Hercules' pid='105491' dateline='1487416394'I just found a Sir Henry Parkes dollar that was rotated by about 40° - and in above average condition! :yahoo:

Here's a photo of the Sir Henry Parkes rotation I found a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find a 2x2 to put it in, so I had to flip it over with my fingers, trying my best to keep it upright. Is anyone able to measure the angle for me?
