seeereeeously???
well how about that!
I thought they were charged the standard $29.95 which I did think was a bit steep considering the roll looks just like a chubb roll
no fancy inks or such

ah well, I only got a couple but they will go in the tin with my other non event 'money spinners' ha ha

The rolls contain MOR dollars of which there's only going to be 1 million.

Yes, but throw in the 23 million Anzac $1 coins and you have 24 million 2014 $1 coins issued.

And this thread is about the MOR dollars?

Coins from Vending

yes it is, but when ppl say the mint may mint more $1 I don't think they will as they have already minted 24 million 2014 dated $1 coins?

They'll do what suits their needs at the time, the currency determinations generally allow them to mint approved designs to the numbers that they determine themselves.  Those needs might be economic, political, or merely ass covering.  In 2005 they deliberately and released minted MOR dollars even though they hadn't planned to so they could cover their butts due to an accidental minting of MOR dollars that were released into circulation earlier.

I know some 2006 Proof sets contained a 2005 MOR $1 then RAM released them as circulation coin

WavyTwenty

Just brought a roll of these for $30 from M.R. Roberts.  They are going to increase he price to $32 in a week or so when they send their magazine out.  Picked up a single for $2.50 as well - which they took from a mint roll.

If you still want to get some reasonably priced give them a ring or email them.  I think their postage is reasonable too.

I have just gone through 2 rolls of these and only found 1 coin worthy of grading.
Most of the coins had hits on the Queens cheek and some had hits on the big roo.
All the others will grade at MS64 ish
This one may get MS65-66.
Whoever rolled these didn't put too much care in the job.

More questions from me sorry.... How do the PCGS dealers here charge for getting a coin slabbed?

I bought a couple of 2014 MOR rolls and thought might be a good idea to get a couple slabbed as suggested here. Otherwise I don't have any other at the moment. But early days. So just the couple so it's probably best go through a dealer? May be I should wait until I have a few.

interest

I see that there are now rolls from armagaurd on ebay

armagaurd rolls

Maybe this will reduce the price?

So if there was a million of these coins minted.
5,000 for Sydney "S" counterstamp
995,000 left, divide by 20 per roll = 49,750 rolls  LOL
