I have a couple of nice banknotes that I want to have graded.
Can I submit them along with coins when I send a submission to PCGS?

I have sent many Wedding set coins into PCGS and I have asked for a SP designation for these coins but they always come back MS.
These coins are by far Superior to the Circulation strike coins found in Mint sets and from the Bank.
The Far superior strike and blinding lustre that the Wedding set coins display sets them apart from the business strike coins as far as I am concerned.
I will keep "Nagging" PCGS and maybe eventually I will get these recognised as SP coins.
Here are some images of a 2004 Wedding set, I doubt very much that you would get coins of this quality from a Mint set or from Circulation.
These are extremely difficult for me to get a good image of because of the intensely lustrous finish.
Have a look at the quality of the strike and the beautiful fields on these coins, Nothing like a Mint Set coin at all.

Here is a 2004 Mint Set coin as a comparison.

Yeah I agree trout the wedding sets just blow a mint set out of the water.

Does anyone else have a problem having to pay the extra $5 per coin for the "Secure Plus" imaging at PCGS ?
A large percentage of these images are either Crap or simply are not there (Mechanical Error) :dodgy:

with a Modern submission you can opt out of these But anything before 1965 you HAVE to pay the extra $5 per coin for this IMHO Shoddy service.
I have just had to shell out an extra $170 USD, Which works out to be over $200 Just to ensure that my coins will be graded in a particular submission :dash1:

I have totally given up emailing PCGS to rectify these images because it happens all too often and I would much prefer NOT to have to pay extra for an unwanted and second rate service.

End of Rant...........
I feel SOOOOO much better now :):):)

---------------------- NO ------------------------

They are their rules and there are good reasons for those rules.
These are related to Chinese fake coins in fake PCGS slabs - this is a serious problem.
If you don't like it, don't use their service.

I have NO problem with the grading and handling provided by PCGS at all, Its the secure imaging that I have a problem with.
This is why I don't "Rate" this service.
This is only a few of the stuff ups :ok:

The image of pre '65 coins online makes it harder to flog fake coins/sub standard coins in fake slabs. Emu is right.

I do agree with that but if there is NO image or only a part of it WTF am I paying an extra $5 for
PCGS are charging an extra 20% for this service so I expect them to do the Q&A and get it Right in the first place without having to dicker about emailing and rectifying the problem :ok:
