I got the grades from the seven coins I sent to pcgs at the end of February yesterday. This one is the highlight.

I am going to try and keep it and sell some of the others including the 1942-d 3d from the benchmark collection.

What are you looking at selling the 42D threepence for?

spraggdean23

I am going to send it to Walter to be sold at auction at Numisbid. I really need the most I can get for it at the moment cause I have depression and am resigning from my supermarket job in a few weeks which is most probably the primary cause of that depression.

Cheer up.
Be happy.
You have some nice coins.

If you think you'll get more through Walter then you should do so.

It may be best to start it at the minimum price you would be happy to accept for it.

I understand that

I took five weeks off work late last year
didn't feel down for NOT one single day the whole time

got back to work and within 2 days - back on the merry go round

spraggdean23

Yeah Robbie, I think that being in the same place day in and day out definately starts to wear a person down. Even though I am only working two days a week I have had this job at the same supermarket for fifteen years and it has definately worn me down!

true
I am in my 16th year with this job but I have worked in various roles and based from 8 different locations across  the services, during this time so at least I get environmental changes which does make a difference - even having to drive to work a new way makes a difference

sounds like you need a change
if you can afford it - take a break then start looking around for something different

oh dear off topics - think we'll be evicted!! ha ha

Sorry to barge in.... but what grade do you think this 1910 florin is?

stevo1962

Looks like about AU53 - AU55 in my opinion
It\'s not about who you know it\'s about what you know

Nice coin spraggdean23.

I really admire you and RG's staying power. Longest job I ever had was 6 years. That was waaaaay too long for me. A change of environment is always good. My current job is 3 years - feel like it's too long already.

Would you believe it graded MS63 by PCGS?!?

Looks like a lot of wear in places.

You shouldn't second-guess the PCGS grade on images alone. At least two graders have seen the coin in the flesh and independently arrived at that grade. We, however, have only seen the images. It's not reasonable to expect us to grade the coins through an image more accurately than two professionals have by seeing the coin in the flesh.

I disagree, I'd say ms62-63. Think that maybe you are considering strike weakness on the reverse as wear from circulation.
