Quote from: 'trout' pid='92135' dateline='1467862957'You could submit it as a "Mint error" submission.
Here is the cost breakdown for you.
Postage costs to the US about $20
Submission fees $60 USD for the mint error submission plus $5 USD for the mandatory secure option for World coins.
$8 USD handling charge
Return postage of $69.47 USD

Total cost in AUD of $209.58 at todays exchange rate and this is if you send the submission yourself, If sent through a dealer the costs will be higher :ok:

It must have been just shy of a 66 but probably should have got a + :)

Quote from: 'ausjack' pid='92156' dateline='1467882479'I think I did extremely well getting one from the pond that went MS65 so pretty good considering it cost me face value :yahoo: but yes a 66 would be sweeter :)

That's a brilliant coin to come out of the pond AJ, nice work Mate. :good: Was it in more recent times or back around 1980 when you first started collecting

I sort of collected as a kid but then I didn't start again until about the 2000 mark auto and found this one about 3 maybe 4 years ago :) I see pcgs has my coin as their 1979 ms65 example

I got a bag one day and someone had cleared out their collection and about 1/2 the bag had from 1969 to about 1983 and a heap of nice coins, Stevo actually got a few off me a little while ago :friends:

Just funnin AJ, hope I didn't appear to be doubting you Mate  That was excellent work to find one so late in the peace. Just goes to show if we keep dipping in who knows what's to be found, especially when others can often  cash in their chips for whatever reason. :drinks:

Every now and then one of these are still pulled out of circulation, Admittedly they are getting scarcer to find due to all the publicity But they are still out there Mate.

Has anyone recently had a submission done by NGC ?
I noticed on the NGC site that they have the plastic cases similar to the PCGS blue box for sale at $8 each and am wondering if these are used now for return submissions instead of those crappy cardboard things that they used a couple of years ago.

Well Finally after 45 working days PCGS have taken money out of my credit card account, Still NO grading results yet and I find that a bit strange as I normally get the results first then I notice the fee has been deducted from my account.
Maybe the pencil pushers at PCGS are battling to keep up with the pace
At least there is some sort of movement happening at long last.
