Looking at the PCGS listing today I noticed that no one has established an id for the 2010 Rotated 50c despite it being an easily identifiable error (as is the incuse which is identified) and is not subject to variances such as the 2001 $1 Fed.

I still have my last two 2010 rotateds which are both higher grades so just wondering what peoples thoughts are and if anyone has considered having it added?

You could submit it as a "Mint error" submission.
Here is the cost breakdown for you.
Postage costs to the US about $20
Submission fees $60 USD for the mint error submission plus $5 USD for the mandatory secure option for World coins.
$8 USD handling charge
Return postage of $69.47 USD

Total cost in AUD of $209.58 at todays exchange rate and this is if you send the submission yourself, If sent through a dealer the costs will be higher :ok:

not sure if a rotated die error is an actual die variety
just more of a error as obviously the die was set at the wrong spot or something like that?

whereas say, the incused, it was the wrong die for the circulation strike so it is consequently a die variety of the year or something like that

Unicorn

True RG that could well be the reason. :good:

What about the double bar varieties as they've been around for a bloody long time now and I couldn't find it at pcgs :scratch_one-s_head:

That's a great point AJ since they are a true die variety. :good:

Ooop's my mistake the double bar is now on pcgs but there's only two 79's and one 80 but no 1966 or tilted 7 1970 50 cent in the varieties.

Very nice Serial! :good:

Gee, perhaps when I get out of this nightmare I might get time and have the funds to have some coins slabbed. (Thanks be to Trout for his generous offer in a previous instance).

One day I ..... will ...... get there.

No prob.
The 79's are hard to find in this grade, I was hunting for awhile to get the 2 I got

Finding one of these in Mint state is tough enough , To find one at this grade is an outstanding achievement.
Well Done :good:

I think I did extremely well getting one from the pond that went MS65 so pretty good considering it cost me face value :yahoo: but yes a 66 would be sweeter :)

Did they designate that as a double bar or did they just put MS65 on the slab, I can't remember Mate :)
