Well done fulvio.   The 2001 COF upsets are becoming hard to finds.

Quote from: 'Unicorn' pid='20606' dateline='1373158615'Out of how much did those errors come?  (Must have been a bit to find two rotated 2001's, either that or I want to know which bank too!!!)

It was $500 in ziplock bags. Bank was Westpac Brandon Park, and of course all the other banks are right next door and would see the same sort of deposits.

In contrast, Chadstone, Oakleigh, Burwood and Mt Waverley are totally useless for deposited coin. Go figure.

Gee that's good from $500, well done Fulvio.

Thanks. Yeah, I was floored. I'd just put the first one in a 2x2 and showed dad, and a minute later found the second. Haven't put them away yet, but I think this brings the count to 5 of the 270°.

One thing I'm doing is hanging onto all the 1999 and 2001. I plan on going through them when this $2 silliness is over, looking for the different obverse sizes. And measuring for any slight upsets while I'm at it. So for now I'm only picking up the gross ones like these.

Found a very nice 2003 Suffrage $1 in the till at work today.
Don't think this coin has been circulating for 10 years.
Also found a 1981 NZ 20c.

I've been doing that for a little while and I just looked through for the different obverse sizes the other week-end: no such luck (yet).

Please note Triggersmob that there are two varieties of this coin.

I'm not a variety collector, but I have heard about that.
Something to do with the word "DOLLAR" and the triton I believe.

Yep the triton is what I look at :good:

Not quite. There are large and small reverses. The original large design was breaking apart a lot, with all manner of cracking going on, through the trident, at the bottom of the skirt, and around the hat on the right. Or all of the above. So they reduced it a bit.

Here are a couple of images pinched from http://rob.quicksales.com.au/ad/2003-women-s-suffrage-unc-1-pair-both-die-varieties/3343774

I find the easiest thing to look out for is the thickness of the lettering, which you can clearly see above.

Thanks for that, Fulvio.
I see I spelt trident wrong too.
Too many years of selling parts for Mitsubishi Tritons. LOL

I think I covered all the varieties in my mintages PDF. Let me know of anything I missed.

And I haven't forgotten about the errors list either. Just has to wait until te great $2 hunt is over. But I've been thinking about how to lay it out at least. I think I can make it work... ;)

Meanwhile, back at the ranch.... Today started off being a pretty good day. By lunchtime I had a BP96 Test note, $21.60 in decimal copper, a pair of poppies, another packet of coronations, a nice incused 50¢ and some stamps from a very nice forum member, a Banknote centenary PNC (can't believe I relented and coughed up thirty bucks...sigh), and another $1400 to noodle.

And then the day turned to crap thanks to a bank manager who has zero people skills... we'll see if I can get the regional manager to reeducate him, but in the meantime I have three brand-spanking new accounts ready to transfer every penny into.. and they know it! The stress doubled my blood sugar reading, and I wasn't at all happy about that...

Happy thoughts... Happy thoughts... Happy thoughts... Happy thoughts... time to noodle the copper... Happy thoughts... Happy thoughts... Happy thoughts...   :diablo:  :diablo:  :diablo:  :diablo:
