[attachment=291]I reckon they saw me coming when I got these from the local bread shop.

The 2001 20c are becoming harder to find in circulation so thats a good one. I havent noticed a decline in 50c numbers much though.

The 10p is interesting. I havent seen one of thos ein circulation here before.

I dont see the significance of the 1997 $2 though.

Over the past couple of days I have picked up a 1977 50c and a 1981 Charles & Di 50c that were both still quite lustrous and in very good condition.

Its amazing that coins in this state are still floating around after all these years. The 1977 is probably now the best one I have from circulation even compared to ones I captured when they were originally issued.

Both coibs were hoarded extensively. I thibk grandma/grandpa die and the kids/grandkids spend them or take them back to the bank. Its always find a nice one!

Wow, I guess they're using florins as a 20 cent peice, if only people knew what they were worth

JeffH

What a pickup for 20¢!
Beats the '42 florin I got the other day.

Jeff
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

take care because we care ..

I guess it wouldn't be hard to read Australia on the front, they can't be that narrow minded, I guess it's just a lack of interest as they don't really care what it is

keldaw

yep , you said it,  AARONG ,

not interested at all , to hard to do that , they are working with memory mode and are to busy to have the time to stop and check all coins ,,      .          ,, kel ,,

Oh well, trout comes out on top in this situation :)

They probably just assume its one of the countless commemoratives that are around these days (which I guess it actually is....its just a pre decimal commemorative).

I've often thought that it would be no good if I was a teller or cashier because I would spend all my time looking at coins instead of serving customers and would get the sack.

AaronG

A $2 Poppy coin :D

What did you find today?
