Gah! Someone should explain the difference between a draw and a drawer to that guy!

But yeah, the current flood of hoards being dumped seems to be everywhere. And that's only going to reduce availability in future, as they get destroyed in circulation, or stashed by people with deep pockets, never to be seen again.

Those of us accumulating now will be sitting pretty once the insanity ends I reckon.

Coins from Vending

Quote from: 'Unicorn' pid='19819' dateline='1372464232'It is a nice one AJ. :good:

I think a fair few people are cleaning out their sock drawers these days which might explain some of the current finds. Generally I don't think people have much spare cash at all, which could also support the market demise mentioned by Jeff in a couple of his threads.

I think there is a lot of merit in that statement, I have a vending machine at a bowls club, needless to say it is frequented by retirees.

Of all my sites this machine delivers the best quality collectable coins, without fail every week it will have 2-3 jubilee coins 1-2 princess  Diana coins. I think the elderly are cashing in their hoarded coins??

Might be time for a visit to all banks in that suburb and ask for the collectables?

Looks like one of those funny money coins for kids play sets but they usually are a little more dodgy looking, your one seems to have a bit of detail to it

keldaw

my g/ daughter found it , she is moving into a flat with a friend and they bought a lounge and a fridge on the weekend , at it was in the lounge ..   ,, kel ,,

So having missed out on another sack of poppies, I took the consolation prize in $1 coins.

Usual run of cuds, rabbit ears, spew roos, some impressive planchet flaws...

...and a pair of 270° upset CoF's. :yahoo:

I may have to switch "home" banks. ;)

Well done Fulvio!

Out of how much did those errors come?  (Must have been a bit to find two rotated 2001's, either that or I want to know which bank too!!!)
