I wish ti thank all those that have posted or sent to me for a speedy recovery.

However, I could be sick for years rather than months or weeks.

I am at home now and get Home Nursing visiting every day.

If I try to do some house work or anything physical I get tired very quickly.

I have been told to rest and rest.

I think these two coins are the best coloured coins that the RAM has released to date.

I purchased 10 tubes of coins and the fifth one opened gave me the two coloured coins.

I have complained to AustPost in regards the early release by certain money hungry grubbers.

I hve nt noodled a thing since my admission to hospital in early March.

Now I am at home I still not doing any noodling as my car/tpt is off the road.

Hopefully I will become a little mobile next week.

Coin Chit Chat / RE: Cashless society by 2020??

I received an email/notification from my local ANZ Bank located at Brimbank Central Shopping Cenrtre that the tellers will no longer count loose coin, process cash deposits or withdrawals but customers can use the hole in the wall for these transactions.
If this is case, I have a message for the branch - GOODBYE.

Banks don't want customers in their banks any more.   It costs them money for consierges, tellers etc.

Cheaper for them to have customers doing business on line.

The dollars save will increase their massive already high profits.

Maybe people should start putting ones monies under their mattress instead.

At present, I have not noodled any coins for the past two weeks.

That's $20K of coins I have not been able to look at all because the "which bank" is hounding me.

I went to my CBC bank today to deposit $1500 of $2 coins and the deputy manager pocked her head out said I wish to see you, please don't go.

I waited and eventually was escorted into an office and the door was closed.

I have been formally advised that I am not to use the hole in the wall coin machine as this just might cause a suspension of my bank account.

To put all in the picture, I purchase rolls of coins, take them home and noodle through them.   I then take those coins back to the bank to have deposited back into my account via the hole in the wall coin count machine.   Later that day, the deposit is made into my account.

I then withdraw the deposit and get more rolled coin for the hole in wall coin dispensing machine.

As a result of todays info, if I use the coin count machine again I could have my account suspended.

Now, if I turn up at the bank with say $2,000 worth of loose coin and front the teller, they will then tell me to use the hole in the wall to count the coins.   But alas, I have been warned I can't use the hole in the wall coin count machine for the reason previously given.

So I have to develop a new scheme whereas I can deposit coins and withdraw whenever I wish.

As far as I am concerned, The commonwealth bank can go to you know where!

Chin Wag / RE: Wanted-Old Measurement Tables

I saw that chain being used by the early surveyors that were trying to measure the boarders between Vic, SA and NSW many years ago.

That chain is the exact length of a cricket pitch, something like 22.?? something yeards.

If you have such a beast, is there any chance of taking a decent scan of them and send it to me please.

Please PM me if you can assist.
