Yes,i got 3 of the $15 ones, wanted the Silver but they sold out by Midday, never again, logged in at 7.30am,acknowledged at around 8.40am that i'm in a Queue and finally got thru to purchase at around 3.00 pm.
Ballot is a bit more user friendly, pot luck but will wipe out a lot of the smarties that manipulate the system.
Already going for $100+ on Ebay..ridiculous.

It was a disaster. I was in the queue for over 12 hours. By the time I got in, everything was sold out except the $15 version (their other non-Vietnam coins also sold out).

I find it hard to believe there are 5,000+ collectors who really really really wanted this coin.

Oh, and by the way ... well done RAMint ... I now don't have any faith in your web portal, so will just hammer the phones all day. I think that is more reliable

Finally got my coins just before 7.00pm from the website (after logging on about 8.20am).

Tried the phones throughout the day. Finally got through about 4.20pm only to receive a recorded message that they had closed the call centre for the day (when it was supposed to be open until 5.00pm). Presumably the RAM had exhausted their phone allocations and closed up shop.

Had none of these issues under the old system (who says I'm a Luddite!). Still non-plussed that the issues with Queue-it have been allowed to drag on for so long. RAM staff must "enjoy" reading the comments on Facebook (not that it seems to have made any difference to date) and I guess their phone staff would cop flak as well.

The queue was a joke, but the phones were worse. They totally gave up taking calls. I gave up in disgust.

I completely missed it - when was it announced?

It was announced last month when they say coins released for next month, and also usually at the bottom of the RAM email.

The RAM haven't released May 4th releases yet.

Mister T

It's been getting a lot of coverage in the mainstream news lately.

I think these two coins are the best coloured coins that the RAM has released to date.

Definitely the $2 coin has the finest detail in the coloured imprint I've seen. There have been some interesting variations in some of the Woolworths issues, but this one is very clear.

One to beat for future issues...
