Looks pretty swish!
Might be worth taking a couple of photos first and seeing how they turn out.

This page has the advanced manual, and page 52 has details on taking close up pictures. The AF Macro mode (AF with little flower) will be the mode you need for coins, so this is done by pressing down on the 4 way button, and then pressing ok (middle button) when the AF with flower is selected.
I'm quite amazed how far these things have come. 16mp, 5x zoom and Leica lens, panasonic brand under $120.
I remember a friend had a 1.3mp that wrote directly to a 1.44mb floppy disk, had a built in drive!

Quotemy lovely wife wants to throw it up the hallway and smash it on the tiles ..

Why's that ?
It'll take a while to get use to it, i'm sure you're finding the cropped pictures are a lot bigger already.
Are those 2 3d's in the bottom picture ?

I think they are probably the obverses of the 2 sixpences above them.

I see a marked improvement on the N.Z. sixpence.! Focus is good, now to crop down to just the coin and will be highly presentable. Well done.!

Hope you enjoy Grade Three Kel. Would love to see a bigger coin eg. A penny or a Florin perhaps.  Off to golf for me, will look forward to tonight.!

Very nice Kel.  Don't forget to crop them so we can see coin rather than whitespace :)

Kel, try a black background too, that will get rid of all those shadows.
