I have asked the RAM if they have produced/minted any 2021 Donation Dollars.

If I get a reply, I shall post it here.

Someone (not a member here) posted a picture of a 2021-dated DD on an American coin forum.

Which forum?

Not seeing any of the eBag pundits ranting and raving about rare donation dolars, (more than usual). None seem to be flogging a 2021 one yet.

Goldseeker

Just received a message from the RAM in regards to the 2021 Donation Dollar.   Here is the reply:

"Hi xxxxx, yes the Mint has produced a 2021 Donation Dollars, identical in design to the 2020 version. 12.5 million of this year dated coin are expected to be released into circulation.
Thank you."

Keep ones eyes open.

Always been the Mints practice to release Coins as needed,(so i've been told over the years),ie they mint a projected amount of Coins,1mil.5 mil etc and if the Die/Machines don't break they stop at that target, they are then stored until needed.
The amount of Coins they are releasing these days is mind boggling.Interesting to see what happens if Punters stop collecting them.

The Oz/NZ Coin shortage in the early 1940's cleaned out the Melb. Mint of any surplus Coins whilst the fear of Jap. invasion from Singapore cleaned out the Perth Mint.
