Have they even released any in 2021 and 2022.
There is no mintage figures for those on the RAM website.

If they have any minted for 2021, apart from seeing them circulating, we'll only find out after the annual report in September. I'm not hopeful though as surely someone would have them up on fleabag by now. Still got time for 2022.

With the idea behind the creation of the Donation dollar I think the RAM would have announced it if they were going to release any in 2021. Looks like they opted for the Great Aussie Coin Hunt series instead.

Not sure where that leaves the Donation dollar in 2022 when they have issued another GACH series. Possibly the Donation dollar was attractive to collectors but didn't achieve the original aim of the exercise.

Mister T

Was there a follow-up announcement or was the continuation part of the original announcement?

Goldseeker

If anyone wants some Donation Dollars at face value plus postage, please PM me.

I have just under 300 of them from circulation.

I haven't seen any follow-up announcements since the initial flurry of press articles for the 2020 issue Mister T.

As the program was originally designed to prompt Australians to donate these dollars to charity I would guess that there would be a similar surge in promoting the issue of any further donations dollars - just my guess.

The only info I had was they were going to release 25 million between 2020 and 2025. 12.5 million issued in 2020. Nil in 2021.
? in 2022.
4 million in each of the next years? Who knows, but currently they have only released half what they intend to.

Mister T

I thought so as I'm sure it would have been discussed here. Maybe they've scrapped that plan.

Yes, I think that is entirely possible. With the impact of COVID and tougher economic times a donation program may not have a lot of appeal. I guess we'll see.

Actually it's new management at the mint too - maybe they didn't want to continue with it.

Mister T

Unexpectedly I got another one in change yesterday.

Fishing

I've just about given up on Donation Dollars and only keep coins in great nick. Otherwise it's released back into the pond.

Mister T

I found another one yesterday in a family member's change.

I found one in the till at work, but left it there.

If you see a Donation Dollar, please, take a closer look.
