Just got an email about this one, might be in Auto's area of interest  ...... gee we might even get McDuck to purchase some trainybait!

I can't understand why they didn't colour the train green. Every time I look at this coin, I find myself staring at the grass rather than the train. :dash1:

LOL!

A swing and a miss.

I agree. To have the green loco staring at you on the packaging, only to look up and not see the green train is disappointing.

In protest, I've only bought one. :imwithstupid:
There\'s no such thing as too much Borobi!

Thanks for the heads up uni. Trying to limit my collecting at the moment, but will just have to have one of these

Heh, I just this minute ordered five of the 12-coin $2 sets (outrageously overpriced, but after giving them a rev up at the meeting tonight for being 2018 dated coloured coins, how could I not?).

Anyway...

I looked at these things, and considered buying one just to pad the order. For all of about 30 milliseconds anyway.

I'm REALLY not a fan of grannybait. Or traineybait for that matter.  :@

I wanted two of the 12-coin sets, but could only afford one. At least that's better than none.

True. I'm not a fan of paying triple face value, but its better than ten or twenty times face like on other grannybait.

It was 7.5-15x for Borobi, but many are fetching much more than that on eBay. There are plenty of desperate people out there who are still trying to "collect the set", and are willing to pay 50x the face value.

Sure, but I'm a collector, not a marketer. Ebay prices are somewhat irrelevant, at least until I decide to bail out. Which admittedly gets closer with every dumb move the RAM make.  :-/

I have no problem paying a premium for items I want but can't get via way of attendance such as the Gold Coast 12 folder set  :welcome:

Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

Thanks Jeff .... I'm sure Auto will enjoy them too, perhaps I should have put them under a chat thread, but went with this one.

Great photos, thanks for posting uni  :thank_you:

If ever they seek to put a 60 class on a coin, we may need to increase the size of the dollar to something like a Cartwheel twopence  :)

There is nothing like the smell or operation of a steam engine.   BRING THEM BACK please.
