Thanks for the info Greg. I was hoping you'd be able to shed some light on this, but you seem to be just as confused as the rest of us. Perhaps this will become another mystery like the 1992 MoR $1. :good:

I would think that it will be an absolute nightmare for new collectors in a couple of decades sorting out the multitudes of different coins, mintmarks and counterstamps that have been churned out of the Mint over the last few years

So the consensus is

Coin Type: $1 uncirculated centenary anzac p counterstamp
Year: 2015
Item Code: 310628
Qty Produced: 2746
Mintage: unlimited

Does not exist?

That is why I keep my own master list. No offence to greg and renniks here but I have always found the dollar coin section of both books all over the shop. It is hard to find a concise list because off all the counterstamps etc and different packaging types of the same coin. A nightmare for a publisher

I have just checked my spreadsheet of report numbers where I do all my adding up over multiple fiscal years. That entry is in bold red and I have a note to myself that this coin does not exist. I must have come to this conclusion also at some time!!

My official reply to an email to the RAM

Good afternoon Shane

Thank you for contacting the Royal Australian Mint.

I can confirm the 2015 $1 AlBr Uncirculated ANZAC Centenary: 'P' Counterstamp Coin was produced.

Should you require further assistance please reply to this email or contact me on xxxxxxxx.

I obviously asked a few more questions about this so will post their reply.

I'll be interested to hear what they say. From that response they have looked at the report and you got the standard answer.

Quote from: 'coinsydney' pid='109519' dateline='1498027484'I think it's this coin https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/361257458677  but with Perth mintmark

I have to disagree on this one.

I have all the $1 Alum Br carded coin and the "P" one of this is not one of them.

I have to agree strongly with PPH and several others that the "P" coin does not exist.

I have just sent the RAM an email asking them to send me two of the coins if they do exist or to have someone correct Tamara's response.

I will post any reply/response I get.

The Albany coin is listed in the 2014/15 annual report, not the 2015/16 one.
2015 Kangaroo Privymark 'P' Perth ($1) One Dollar Australian Decimal Coin ANDA Perth Coin Show Issue I suspect

That's what I feel as well, it's about the same quantity that they normally sell of these coins at their shows. I don't remember the potable press being there

Maybe RAM is confusing the 2015 MOR "P" privy mark coin with the "P" counterstamp coin?
Anyway getting accurate and truthful information out of RAM is like getting blood from a stone :dash1:

That's exactly what I'm thinking.
They don't sell those Privy mark carded coins & have the mobile press at the same venue. Do they?
I think it is probably a case of mistaken identity.

Bigfellani5

Has anyone checked the determinations to see if an Anzac p cs was approved?

Annett Power of VP coins was the co ordinator for all ANDA shows up until last year, and she would always kindly keep aside any Collectable dollar coin from the various shows for their customers. I don't have a 2015 P counterstamp, there is no evidence to say that one exists, so I'm happy to say they don't exist.
As we age we lose three things, one is our memory and arrrrr I've forgotten the other two!

Good afternoon Shane

Thank you for your patience.

I have been provided the below information regarding the 2015 'P' Counterstamp Coin.

The Royal Australian Mint manufactured 4 counterstamp versions of the 2015 $1 AlBr Uncirculated ANZAC Centenary Coin for various events around Australia.

A 2015 $1 AlBr Uncirculated ANZAC Centenary: 'P' Counterstamp Coin was produced with the intention of selling them exclsuively at the Perth Show that year, however the Royal Australian Mint's appearance at the 2015 Perth Show did not eventuate, and subsequently the 2015 $1 AlBr Uncirculated ANZAC Centenary: 'P' Counterstamp Coins produced by the Mint were not released.

These coins were recycled into aluminium bronze blanks for future coin production requirements.

So now we will all be looking to see if any of the new $1 coins are "Overstamps" of the 2015 coins :)
