:dodgy: Our PM reminds me of the old chocolate as he likes to waffle and he's a polly, bit of luck the same will become of him that happened to the humble old polly waffle

we have a great assortment of engineers and chemists in this forum so I reckon the waffle is well and truly based in solid scientific knowledge

Hey, I resemble that remark (I'm ex CSIRO) and I know most boffins waffle on, I'm sure I do it way too often as well. Best sort of mind can come up with dozens of theories and then accept that most can be dismissed when tested. A hard part is giving up on pet theories and the hardest part is admitting when you have made a blunder (and I've made my share of those.

As an engineer I refuse to make theories; I just 'postulate' -but, really, it is mostly a guess based on limited information. Inspection and measurement sometimes proves me right and oftentimes....
That is a little mind game I play on the way to a site. Need to be careful though not to let any preconceived notion get in the way of the facts. What is reported as the reason for a call is often mostly vague and includes assumptions from the client or agent.
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

Reminds me of the time I went to the doc, opened up the top of my overalls and pointing to some sort of rash, told him I had measles. Without leaving his chair he said so you have, and wrote me a certificate for two weeks off :yahoo: The thing is, I genuinely thought it was measles, but turned out to be a rash from a diesel spill earlier in the day. I think that assumption was more accurate though
As we age we lose three things, one is our memory and arrrrr I've forgotten the other two!

Checking through my slabs I found an interesting variety of die flash. The flash is a perfect registration on the reverse of a Geo V sixpence of the kings head. Lips, nose etc are outlined by the die flash. PCGS number 32864169.
Explanation:huh:?
