Mister T

From 12 rolls of 20c pieces I got a Queensland COF and a 1987 New Zealand.

I also found a fairly beat up 2018 Armistice $2 as well as this:

I am utterly gobsmacked. I found another rotated centenary of federation $1 coin yesterday! That's 2 in not even a week. This one is at 7 o'clock. I'm blown away. What are the chances?

Kel,  My son taught me how to use a USB Microscope while I fortunately still had some brain cells that worked.  I used it so much in the beginning it somehow embedded itself in my brain.

He recently upgraded my PC and the software for the scope required a change which I now really don't like, but it is what it is. Too many steps involved to get a piccie to where I want it. I only use the program occasionally now, probably about 5% (or less) as often as I used to.

USB microscopes and Windows 10 are apparently an issue with many people reporting inability to get a microscope to work properly, if at all.
I bought a 5 megapixel one quite some time ago and had no luck at all. The above posts prompted me to dig it out and have another go.
The latest version of MicroCapture Pro (an earlier version came with the 'scope) got it operational and the "shutter" button on the cord even works. DinoCapture 2.0 works too but can only take a shot from the software.

Not so sure that the 1.6 times resolution, expressed as pixels per inch, really give me better picture than my old 2MP unit.
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

Last couple of weeks' noodling rather unexciting. A small upset Parkes $1, an even smaller upset IYoOP $1 and a few Australia Post Alphabet coins -one of which I did not have so now I am only looking for the last two.

Jeff, there is a free App. on the Windows store that enables most USB Microscopes to work with 10,its listed under webcams from memory,i'm away at the moment but will post its name when i get back.
My main computer stopped all my USB Microscopes working in one of the updates earlier this year(late last?),nothing i downloaded helped but a guy on a Stamp Forum sent me a MS  Store link and they are all now working.
My Internet 32bit Win. 10 still works the Microscopes with the original SW,go figure.

I did a google and found it,its simply called 'Camera',i have it on my main 64 bit Win 10 Machine and it works with all my USB Microscopes and i've got 5 or 6 different versions/brands.
I placed a 'Camera' App. shortcut on my desktop, simply plug in Microscope and click on shortcut and all the basic functions are there.
Not much Info. out there,Guy on a Stamp Forum found it by accident when playing around with his webcam.

That's bundled with Windows 10. Pretty hopeless app in my opinion. Saves all photos to a common location, runs with my older microscope but will not recognise the newer one.
I think it is the default webcam app with Win 10.

P.S. I just remembered that, as far as I could find, it only supports resolution up to 3 megapixels.

Ok,its a big deal with the Stamp set that didn't have Microscopes working, all mine work on it so check your settings or may be its a 32 bit thing.
