the neighbours across the road have 2 new'ish cats - full grown now
one most certainly a Tom as he has been spraying at the front of our house and the cars

one of the said suspects (a very lovely large but fast creamy looking cat) has been visiting the BACK YARD quite often lately

the other evening the son hears a flurry of chook clucking to find the white car darting through the back fence
the hens were clustered together and Dame Graciella is now pretty well without a feathered tail and the feathered evidence lay conspicuously on the grass at the back of the garden

so, the son is upset about 'the girls' being the victims of feline predication
the chooks seemed to have recovered but it now casts serious doubt on letting them free range at all and Dad is very upset that his girls have again been violated by mr kitty

so off he goes to visit our neighbours of ten or so years to have the 'kitty chat'
the mum and dad aren't there but the 4 kids and their grandmother are
so the hubby explains the situation and of course he gets the "are you really sure?????"
so the hubby is describing what they agree is possibly the large lemon cat who lives at their place, complete with additional descriptor of 'the bell' when at the very same time in saunters mr kitty  - the kids all say "is this the kat"???
the hubby points a very direct finger ÿes, that  is the kat!!!""

grandma agrees that we now have a kitty problem and she will talk to mum and dad about securing the kat ... we'll see

but it did raise a giggle with me - I could see these kids doing the detective work to figure out if the offender was or was not their mr lemon kat complete with 'the bell' identifier

and fortunately the chook is still alive, but we have in past years lost a rabbit from a neighbour's cat and then had one of our small dogs' eye had micro surgery to sew it back together thanks to the same Persian same cat (other neighbours). so if cats have irresponsible owners they really can become neighbourhood nuisances

hum nothing to do with kat coins  ...... moving right along
might have to take a picture of our Singapore year of the tiger silver coin to exonerate myself here

Forget the cats; worry about foxes. I lost all my pheasants and guinea fowl to a fox that broke into their run in the backyard. The chooks actually were not touched -they just huddled on their perches instead of running around wildly , squawking.
By the time I got there (middle of the night) I was just in time to see the fox departing with one of my pheasants, leaving the other victims dead.
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

robbiegal

yes
apparently there has been foxes in the suburb as well
some blokes turkey got nabbed a few weeks back

autocoupler

This is our bloke, he was nearly 4 years old when our daughter added him to the site back then. He's still kicking at nearly 14 now and doesn't look much different.

Oops....no feline coins, although his vet bills could have paid for many feline coins. But he's worth it.
As we age we lose three things, one is our memory and arrrrr I've forgotten the other two!

robbiegal

beautiful kitty
green or are they almost blue eyes?
