I am getting pretty good using only one hand.
I managed to crack open a 2006 proof set using my right hand and my toes :)
NO damage to the toes or the coins, it was a bugger of a job getting the coins into saflips to send to PCGS tho:angel:

I can just imagine!
Would a Dremel type tool help?  I haven't broken open a proof set,  but I think that cutting would make it easier for one hand (but maybe slower).

trout

I use a small flat head screwdriver and gently pry the seal apart.
Dead easy with 2 hands , usually only takes a couple of min.
Took me about a hour with one hand :dash1:

Just found out I busted a bone in my foot when I had the prang (I wondered why it was swollen and sore) and now have to wear a bloody great "Moon Boot" as well as the calliper gizmo on my arm and the damned splint thingy for my hand.
I'm starting to look like a storm trooper out of star wars
I will be SOOOOOO happy when I can take all this crap off and bugger off to work again :yahoo:

"FLASH" Hay :)

But serious mate your just so bloody lucky to be here so it's all good as bone and flesh can heal but finding good mates is a bit harder so you take good care :friends:

robbiegal

moon boots are definitely cool
but the fluro sock is even cooler

although all those callipers etc are a right pain in the arse, they apparently are better for you than the old fashioned plaster cast (according to the OT's and physio's anyways)

jeepers and you were lobbing around perth coin shops on a broken foot???

if you were any tougher mate, you'd rust!!!!

Are you sure your name is not really Steve Austin?
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

ah when I seen the pic brought back a memory, when I was getting x rays, you know everyone in the car accident place that had broken bones were skinny, seriously the fatty ones fair way better, heaps of people with crutches and boots, I was the only one in a wheelchair

looking good mate, you'll have to take me fishing when your better
I have just learnt how to tie fly's for fly fishing, prefer my boat rod tho you just chuck the line out with that one :)

trout

I love using the long Wand :)
I haven't had the opportunity to cast a fly for a long time tho.
I may have to incorporate a trip down to Pemberton and catch and release a few Trout as part of my :Rehabilitation"

I lost nearly 20% of my bodyweight in the first 3 weeks, it will take me ages to put that back on.

I wish I could loose 20% of my body weight. :)
Actually I have lost 12kg this year so far, so that's 10%.
I'll let you do the maths. :)

Jim, sorry to hear you found yet another injury,
but it's only time before you are healed again.
It will give you plenty of time to search the internet
for Indian coins.
