Could I have your ballot entry??

This guy is a distant relative, who is a VC winner & is listed on the coin at about 8 o'clock.

Lawrence Dominic McCarthy    1918    First World War    16th Battalion    Madam Wood, France    AWM

So how cool would that be to have, that's why I want to be sure to get one.
So if anybody could help me out, PLEASE

Its not VC winner, its VC Recipient.

:agreed:
Unfortunately a large percentage of VC's are "awarded" Posthumously :ok:

Oh then I might sell it on EBay for $999.00
I see they are getting up to $355 with a week to go

I did say this very tongue in cheek.

Markn and I took the kids on an outing on Saturday to the Art Gallery of South Australia. They currently have a display of war medals including one of the first VC's awarded to John Grieve
The display was put out for a limited time and I'm very glad we got to see it.

If one gets to the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, there they have a excellent display of VC's.

If the roof was lifted off the building and one looked down onto the display centre, the outline would be the same shape as that of the VC itself.

It is a place where one can spend many hours reading the citations of the recipients.

It well worth the visit.

Always impressed with the exhibits at the Australian War Memorial. I hadn't been there for ages until 3 years ago and spent a lot of time looking at the aircraft on display.

I rec eived and email from the RAM today advising that "more than one entry was received from this email so you were not successful in the ballot>   I am on a waitlist to see if someone doesn't want one that has been offered, or words to that effect".

Honestly, I don't ever remember applying for this coin nor sending in the application.
