All this talk of Tetradrachm's, but what to keep them in?

Oh. The spurt of activity reminded me this was never answered...

As a very disturbed 19 year old, Mike Oldfield came up with a tune which eventually caught Richard Branson's attention. Branson had set up the first recording studio in the UK in a manor house using borrowed funds, and invited Oldfield to live there and work on it in his spare time. Oldfield gave him a long list of instruments he wanted, and one day spotted the movers removing a set of bells belonging to the previous resident muso and laid claim to them.

This instrument would give its name to his album, but normally lived at the back of the orchestra and was played with a tiny leather and copper hammer. Oldfield wanted much more presence, and for the instrument to be the main focal point front and centre.

So the solution was to bash it with a 12oz claw hammer.

Thus was born Tubular Bells, which kicked off Virgin Music, and ultimately the global Virgin Group empire and the upcoming space tourism flights. Branson got a knighthood, and Oldfield regained his sanity.

From tiny acorns... :)

What a great story Fulvio. (Having ABC2 on quite a bit for my 3yo daughter, all I can think of when I see an owl is Giggle & Hoot ...... and of course Hootabelle).

So, did you know that when you flush a dunny on an A380, the 'products of your efforts' travel through a maze of pipes at 216 km/h? And that one of its engines is worth as much as a tonne of gold?

That's a whole lot of sovereigns hanging on those wings, eh? ;)

Did you know that a day on Venus is longer than a year on Venus.  And it rotates backwards compared with all the other planets in the solar system.

Uranus also arguably has a clockwise rotation, even if it is tipped over on its side a little more than 90°.

Now, who would like to concisely explain both the counterclockwise rotation and orbits of the planets, and the exceptions?

I'll be glad when Grant Denyer leaves the show.
He annoys me, with his facial expressions.
It's like he's trying to show his teeth all the time. :(

QuoteI'm anticipating a whole lot of pain with the green $2 hunt in a month or two. Two grand a sack has a terrible effect on the old bank balance, especially if they mix them with SD's again.

Why do you guys think I don't sell much? I can't bear to part with things either.

Here is a strategy that can save you time and dollars.
Just keep a couple out of the sack and leave it at that, send the rest back to the pond for other collectors to find :ok:

ALL is good , there is NO gain without pain in real life

Fairdink I think I have had enough pain to last 100 people a life time but still waiting to see what I have gained :laugh2:

Just playin :ok: the best thing that has come out of all my pain is that it has driven me to the net where I have met some of the nicest people I know and even though it is very stressful at time but I still get a lot from it so the good outweighs the bad ATM :)

yeah I hear ya loud and clear Fulvio, if I find it it's like cool 'cause it's super cheap and if someone gives me anything I just can't sell as it was given for a reason, but I have given away what I have been given but I feel it's different giving something to someone because they're worthy but, no find it very hard to sell and work out fair prices and even where to sell :(
