About 6 months ago i got about 5 of those major US miss strikes and about 10 broadstrikes for $15 BIN on eBay from the states. $40 seems insane for one, especially undated.

This is my GB Overdate 1687/86 Fourpence that has been gilded & holed. I don't mind it having a couple problems considering it's 325 yrs old.  :whistle2:

Continuing with the Great Britain errors I have a tricky one. It's a 2 New Pence with an obvious partial strike. It's got some rim beads but no other design element. The edge has a raised bit in the middle where the rim beads are struck and right now I'm not sure how this all came to be.

Mexico 1986 One Peso with what appears to be a bit of scrap metal wrapped around the edge. Is there a specific name for this?

Steve, In the US they call these 'Retained Cuds, but here we usually just call them Rim Cuds, but because on your coin the cud extends beyond the rim, perhaps 'Retained Cud' might be the best description for it.  :winkextra:  If you google 'Retained Cud', you'll find quite a lot of info about them.

We have a similar example in Aust with the 2005 20c Rev coming home:
